arc radar This will be many players' first foray into the world of extraction shooters, especially for the console crowd who can't access the mainstream of the genre and instead have been cursed with something like the DMZ.
However, players new to the genre may not immediately know which skills will make the most immediate difference and which skills may not be worth the initial investment. There are a few skills that make a difference every round, and using them will make the transition into that genre much easier to handle.

Marauder's Instinct
You'll be spending a lot of time looting in Arc Raiders. That would be true in the beginning, and it will be true later as well. There's no way to avoid this fact, but one thing you can do to make it a little easier is to increase looting speed.
This skill speeds up the reveal of loot in containers. On the surface it may not seem like it makes a huge difference, but the time saved over the course of an entire round becomes meaningful.

round making
It can take time to understand all the resources required to craft important items, but one way to speed up that process (and create valuable items while you're at it) is to gain the ability to craft from the top.
Sometimes it can eat up the resources you put in your backpack faster than expected, and the ability to replenish some of those resources by crafting tops can help you avoid losing all your loot.
6
silent janitor
As mentioned above, you'll be looting quite a bit. You'll also encounter quite a few other raiders. And there are few easier ways for another intruder to attack you than by hearing you looting and taking advantage of your inability to defend yourself.
Silent Scavenger will make your looting quieter, and that might make a difference. If enemies can't hear you looting, they are less likely to discover your presence. That means you might fall for them instead.
5
Agile Croucher
Stealth will often be a tactical necessity in Arc Raiders. Stealth doesn't necessarily mean you won't engage in fights or be aggressive. Stealth can simply mean moving around quietly to engage in combat from an advantageous position.
You often have to crouch to move quietly. Unfortunately, crouching slows your movement considerably. However, using this skill will significantly reduce your movement penalty.
4
marathon runner
There will be a significant portion of every run where fitness is not an issue. But when physical fitness becomes an issue, it suddenly becomes a resource second only to health.
Using this skill will allow you to consume less stamina while moving. This allows you to use your stamina much more defensively or offensively and can make a huge difference in combat.
3
young lungs
This is related to the last skill and is the next skill in the tree. What's better than an action that takes less stamina to perform? My stamina has improved from the start.
Combining these two technologies can make a huge difference. You will be able to do so much more with this combination of skills, and other players will not be able to keep up.
2
gentle pressure
Arc Raiders has certain containers that require a breach to open. This is a very noisy (sometimes very noisy) process and can attract the wrong attention.
When using this skill, the breach becomes noticeably quieter. This doesn't in any way translate this into a covert operation, but it does mean that the enemy would have to be measurably closer to hear it, rather than an apparent 50 meter radius.
1
a skilled fryer
While the healthy aspects of a container breach are certainly the most concerning, the time it takes to achieve a breach can also be a factor. For covert operations it's less important, and for invasive items like arc probes it's more important.
Arc Probes are often placed in the middle of open spaces, and any time spent around them may be time spent in the enemy's crosshairs. Being able to open things faster means you can get them back to a relatively safe state much sooner.
