SMGs are positioned between automatic rifles and sidearms. Destiny 2. Although they're definitely built for close-range combat, some of these are pretty good at mid-range. Like automatic rifles, this is for those who prefer a fast-firing hose of bullets over a powerful precision weapon. There are quite a few good SMGs out there. M-17 Fast Talker
- God Roll: Cooling Trinket + Crystal Corpse Flower
The M-17 Fast Talker can be obtained through activities in the Lawless Zone. Renegade expansion. This SMG is great for Stasis builds thanks to its ability to generate Stasis crystals with the Crystalline Corpsebloom, and if you have a setup that allows you to continuously generate more crystals, there's no need to vent heat from this gun if you have the Cooling Baubles perk.
As mentioned earlier in our list of the best PvP weapons: Destiny 2, If you can pull it off with some fine tuning, trigger taps, and overclocked heatsinks, Fast Talker is amazing compared to other Guardians. It's one of the most powerful 900 RPM SMGs in the game, but only if you can gun down someone before its perks lose their effectiveness.

- God Roll: Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Bullet
As far as Void builds go, you can't go wrong with the classic Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds talent combo, but Recluse, recreated from the Onslaught activity, has more to offer than this. It is also one of the weapons that can drop from Chaos Reshape. Destiny 2, Great for difficult content when used in conjunction with Repulsor Brace or Dimensional Shift.
Chaos Reshape provides bonus damage and periodic healing the longer you stay in combat. If you get a source of Void Overshield like Repulsor Brace or Dimensional Shift, you basically become unkillable in even the most intense situations.
Ikelos SMG
- God Roll: Feeding Frenzy + Bolt Shot
The IKELOS SMG is still one of the best weapons available in Arc builds. Destiny 2. The Feeding Frenzy and Voltshot combo is hard to beat when clearing out large groups of enemies, making this weapon the best option even in an era full of T5 guns.
Unfortunately, the IKELOS SMG is considered a legacy weapon and is not part of the tiered acquisition system (and is not easy to obtain). Nonetheless, they are reliable in most combat scenarios and you can't go wrong with taking one of these guns.

- God Roll: Kinetic Tremors + Chaos Reformation
If you're looking for a good Kinetic SMG, the Submission is probably your best choice. Having both Kinetic Tremors and Chaos Reshape on one gun is pretty crazy.Submission doesn't have as much range as the other options, but it can still destroy most PvE fights in the game.
However, to get submission, you'll need to farm the Disciple's Oath raid, which is one of the hardest raids. Destiny 2.

- God Roll: Burning Ambition + Incandescent Light
The original Burning Ambition in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon was decent at launch, but it got even better in the final season's recreation. Destiny 2. Now you can roll like this: burning ambition in the third column, and if you get incandescent light Fourthly, You'll set fire to so many things with this SMG. You can also use perks like Heal Clip, Rewind Rounds, and Attrition Orbs.
If you don't want to farm Ghosts of the Deep or are looking for a Solar SMG with a faster rate of fire, the Yeartide Apex is a great alternative. You can obtain it by opening the Solstice Engram in the Courageous Creed in the Tower.
endless storm
Crucible's Endless Storm deserves a place here because it has a lot of good perks. This SMG is primarily used as a PvP weapon, but can be made to work in PvE as well. After playing a Crucible match, check to see if you have the following perk combos once you get one.
- Demolitionist + Tombstone It's amazing for Stasis builds, especially those using Glacier Grenades or Hunter's Renewal Grasps Exotic.
- Consumption Orb + Chaos Reformation Good for PvE. Generating more Orbs of Power is always a good thing.
- Dynamic shake reduction + Tap the trigger This will greatly improve the feel of this weapon in PvP. There is basically no recoil while firing this thing.
Best Exotic SMGs in Destiny 2
There are 6 Exotic SMGs. Destiny 2So for this list, rather than just picking a few of them, let's take a quick look at each one.
- Osteo Striga Arguably the best exotic SMG. Destiny 2 This is because of how quickly large groups of red and yellow bars can be taken out through the spreading poison effect. Warlock's Necrotic Grips Exotic allows Osteo Striga to continue spreading poison without having to land the killing blow with a bullet.
- Barrow-Dyad It almost took Osteo Striga's top spot. This gun is much better at killing high health targets thanks to its special alternate fire mode, but unlike the Osteo Striga, the Barrow-Dyad Destiny 2 Due to the downtime of the alternate firing mode, it doesn't always work 100% of the time.
- Taraba We're in the same boat as Barrow-Dyad. Dealing damage and landing blows with this gun charges Tarrabah with a special full-auto fire mode that allows him to fire much faster and deal more damage with each shot.
- Risk Runner The Chain Lightning effect makes it amazing when dealing with large crowds, but it only really shines when fighting enemies that primarily deal Electric damage, or when you can deal damage to yourself with Electric abilities.
- huckleberry It does a solid job of clearing out red bar enemies thanks to its self-reloading magazine and the Rampage perk granted by the catalyst, but it can't compare to the Osteo Striga in terms of horde clearing abilities.
- manticore This is a gun with a special effect that causes it to hover in the air and deal damage while it is in the air. There's definitely some value here, but it's not that great compared to other SMGs.
