Be sure to play PowerWash Simulator's DLC before the sequel.

PowerWash Simulator has put me in a strange trance since its release in 2022. I never thought the live service experience I would be so adamant about keeping up to date would be about cleaning, but here we are. It took me 40 hours to complete the campaign and I watched the YouTube show faster than ever before, but it wasn't until the next three years that I kept coming back.

PowerWash Simulator 2 is now less than two weeks away. I was eagerly awaiting the satisfying ‘ding’ of spewing new filth that would provide a false reward for a well-done virtual task. If I have something worth demoing, I have reason to be excited and have laundry time to look forward to.

But if you're looking to jump into the sequel on October 23rd, be sure to check it out. Did you leave any places uncleaned in your first game? Are there any nooks and crannies still covered in dirt? Do you have a metal surface that doesn't reflect your satisfaction?

Well, get back quickly!

PowerWash Simulator's DLC is plentiful and valuable

Cleaning is taking place in the Spongebob DLC for Powerwash Simulator.

I may have once made a wild claim that no other game has DLC as good as PowerWash Simulator. And I support that. PowerWash Simulator has a total of 16 DLC packs, 8 of which are significant crossover expansions. The first two of them, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy 7, are free.

The rest of the DLC, which features a mix of seasonal locations and story-driven missions, is also free. It takes you from mansion to subway, aquarium to restaurant, haunted house to winter wonderland.

I know, story missions might not be what you expect from powerwashing. There is a legend, I promise.

Other crossover packs include Back to the Future, Warhammer, and two of the most enduring children's media classics, SpongeBob and Shrek. Whether it's an installment of your favorite franchise or your favorite season of the year, there's DLC for everyone. But you all have to enjoy it regardless or you will be personally offended.

It will be harder to go back after PowerWash Simulator 2.

It may seem hard to believe that both games are basically games where you spray water for hours, but based on the demo, PowerWash Simulator 2 seems to be much better to play. The original is by no means bad or in need of improvement, but does improvement feel good anyway?

Now, this means that if you jump into PowerWash Simulator 2 and then later think about crossovers you've wanted to try or things you've never done before, it's just a step down. Do it now before we take that step. Then you will have a great time.

Having spent over 200 hours in PowerWash Simulator, I've completed everything the game has to offer, and most of them twice as many, if not more. If you want to spend the last few weeks before treatment alone while watching the show, you won't regret it. Or, if you want to bring a friend along to clean up the leftovers together, this would be a great bonding experience.

PowerWash Simulator Hangout conversations can get deeper.

Whichever method you prefer, experience everything PowerWash Simulator has to offer. Do it before PowerWash Simulator 2 comes along and spoils us all with shiny new toys and locations, and before it inevitably drops us some unexpected crossovers in the coming years.
