Larian Warsaw Forms New Studio After Breakthrough Success of Baldur's Gate 3

We sit down with the developers of Baldur's Gate 3 and the head of Larian Warsaw to discuss post-launch success, ongoing support, and the studio's growth.

Whether to you, to each other, or to other NPCs, some of these conversations will have you scratching your head in bewilderment. It's not just about parties. Even random NPCs will say the strangest things sometimes. It's strange enough to make you wonder what a dragonborn with a tadpole for a head is thinking.

A Baldur's Gate 3 character says the most horrible things.

On the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit, some fans discussed this hilarious exchange. Some are weird, some are funny, and some are downright confusing.

The comment that received the most votes was about Gale's desire for magic items. “Gale slurped it up like a horse with a carrot,” says Wyll. And if that wasn't weird enough, someone also posted a picture of a wizard on all fours in a field, munching on magical gear.

It seems like Gale's magical appetite is causing him to say strange things. A casual conversation between Karlach and him is about how he loses a lot of his hair in strange places. At least it will save him time going to the hair salon.

One creepy comment described how Yenna thought it was Orin in disguise and told Lae'zel to cut off his head. Only later did they realize that Lae'zel was actually Orin in disguise and agreed to murder the child. It's one of those tricky shapeshifters.

Another comment talks about Shadowheart's casual remarks about someone being tortured by Malus Thorm by the name of Shar. “It’s a hard truth, but the truth is the truth nonetheless.” Shadowheart said nonchalantly, sending the entire party into a panic.

Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3

It looks like one of Shadowheart's dialogue options to inform Arabella that her parents are dead is to use the line “Oh, they're very dead. But don't worry, it gets a lot more interesting when you're an orphan.”

Of course, Astarion wouldn't be left out of this when Lae'zel asked him, “”Astarion you cheat with everyone, I want to know why you never cheated with me.” He simply said “” “I think you are one of those mysteries that will never be solved.”
