Last Light Inn fills many of us with fear when playing Baldur's Gate 3. What at first seems like a safe haven quickly comes under attack, and once certain NPCs bite the dust, pretty much everything comes under attack. everyone die.
That NPC is Isobel, and damn, is she making it difficult to keep herself alive? Despite being a relatively powerful cleric, she likes to run around and absorb attacks of opportunity without utilizing any of her kit. Given that she's a cleric, she's not the best tank, so you'll soon find yourself in combat and taken to Moonrise Towers.
Now we have a mod that aims to keep her alive a little longer without adjusting the AI. Instead, you'll be taking advantage of the buffs she has access to, so she'll at least have a higher armor rating when she gets hit.
Save Isobel with Baldur's Gate 3 mod
Nexus Mods user koboldJuno's Isobel survivability overhaul literally changes Isobel, giving her a better chance of survival in the Last Light Inn battle.
According to the mod description, this works by having Isobel activate statues of herself, including the Mage Armor, Shield of Faith, and Sanctuary. This raises her AC from 11 to 18, making it much easier for her to deal with any attacks coming her way.
Of course, this doesn't make her invincible. You still have to stop the Harpers and Teflings from dealing with the attackers and surrounding Isobel. But at least you won't make her throw in the towel before it's your turn. That happened once when I got an unlucky initiative roll. sore.
As fans have already noted, this is a great workaround because Isobel has always had the tools at her disposal to survive the Last Light Inn. She decided not to use it. While the mod is not using her every Some of her abilities (such as the way she can cast less recovery on herself) would go a long way in making Last Light Inn less fear-inducing.
Once that's done, the only obstacle in Act 2 is keeping Jaheira alive at the Moonrise Towers. Good luck!
