Astro Bot fans are trying to figure out how tall he is.

Astro Bot was one of the best games released this year, providing great platforming, fun features, and great callbacks to PlayStation's biggest games and consoles of the past few years.

Astro Bot wasn't the same without Final Fantasy.

A JRPG icon worthy of an excellent platform game.

But there are still things we don't know about these mysterious little robots. Where does he come from? Is he the messiah of other bots? And how many other beings will he murder to save his species? But some players just want to know how tall he is rather than asking the important questions.

Is size subjective in the Astro Bot world?

One fan decided to open up about this topic on the Astro Bot Subreddit. They seemed a bit confused, wondering how the whole DualSense controller could fit into the PlayStation 5. The subreddit immediately got to work, battling small bots in the environment to get the correct height.

The first comment suggested that the PS5 spaceship and controller were much larger than the actual version, changing the overall perspective. He stands about 2 feet tall, slightly taller than a standing PS5 console.

Other comments agreed with this observation, saying that the PS5 ship would need to be much larger to accommodate all the bots and the other consoles seen at the end. Moreover, at normal size there is no way for it to break through the planet's atmosphere and reach outer space.

Others mentioned Astro Bot's previous adventures. Thanks to the VR aspect of Astro Bot Rescue Mission, you can actually reach out and touch them. Based on this experience, some comments estimated his height to be around 4-5 cm.

The Astro Bot changes size from game to game, and since the newer games don't have a fixed size of the object to compare it to, it's really hard to draw conclusions.

But the most damning evidence of his stature was provided by ShadowGamer, who pulled an image of Astro Bot's card from the PlayStation Limited Edition Top Trumps Card game. According to the card, the little robot is 0.9 feet (30 cm) tall.

We're not sure if this statistic is old or still valid, but it seems to be the clearest and most official source of information about his size.

In addition to wondering about his height, many fans wondered why there was no mention of Final Fantasy in the game. “It’s difficult to comment on that,” Nicolas Doucet, head of the Asobi team, said in an interview. “We truly respect each publisher’s choices.”
