Assassin's Creed Shadows is planning to make obtaining keys much more difficult.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is one of those rare single-player titles that makes you eager to purchase in-game purchases and skins. There are several stores, the Helix Store and Exchange, and several currencies that can be earned in different ways.

Unfortunately, it looks like the keys available in the project's infinite rewards tier will soon be cut by 75%, making it much more difficult to acquire one of the currencies.

Ubisoft is reducing the amount of keys you can earn in Assassin's Creed Shadows' Infinite Project by 75%.

Animus Hub Battle Pass for Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Helix Credits are the simplest of Shadows' two currencies. Enter your credit card information, spend your hard-earned cash, and watch your credits roll in. These credits can then be used on skins and items in the Helix Store. The Animus Key is a little different. These keys can be obtained by completing objectives scattered around the world or by completing the Project (the Battle Pass version of Assassin's Creed) through Animus. As players complete certain projects, they can earn additional keys by unlocking infinite reward tiers.

Naturally, it takes more effort to get the keys, and unfortunately the market for them is a bit more stingy.

Animus Keys are used in the Animus Hub to cycle through items found in the Helix Store. Some items are rotated daily and others weekly, but you're never sure what you'll be able to buy. So if there's a cosmetic set you want, the easiest way to purchase it is using Helix Credits and real money. That statement will become even more true.

According to a new statement from the Assassin's Creed Discord server seen by TheGamer, the number of available keys in the infinite reward tier has been reduced by 75%, from 400 to 100. It will be held from October 28th.

The full statement is below: “Since our last update in July, we've increased the number of weekly anomalies available to help your project progress faster. To rebalance these changes, we'll be reducing the amount of keys available in the infinite rewards tier from 400 to 100 on October 28. This repeatable tier will only be available once you've claimed all rewards in your project. All major rewards have been claimed. After claiming, we recommend that you activate another project. “It’s a great way to unlock new content and earn more keys.”

This is a part of the game that only a few players can interact with, but considering it's ultimately a single-player title, it feels like a lot of fun.
