Arc Raiders Server Slam Reaches Nearly 200,000 Players on Steam

Arc Raiders launches into a very hostile and crowded market, with new online shooters like Battlefield 6 sucking up as many players as possible. There were concerns that the game might be buried, but given the ongoing game server slam, that doesn't seem likely.

As first reported by PC Gamer, the final Arc Raiders playtest appears to be currently showing incredibly impressive numbers on Steam. At its peak, Arc Raiders clocked a player count of just over 185,000, which is truly incredible considering the game hasn't even been officially released yet and is literally just a test to see how many players the Arc Raiders servers can handle.

Even more impressively, these numbers catapult the Arc Raiders playtest to a comfortable fourth place on Steam's most played games leaderboard, just below industry giants like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and the recently released Battlefield 6. We can expect these numbers to increase over the weekend as well.

It's also worth pointing out that Steam isn't the only place you can access Arc Raiders playtests. The Xbox Series

It's an incredibly promising start for Arc Raiders and developer Embark Studios, and it could only get even better heading into the weekend. We don't know exactly how well these numbers will translate into actual sales when Arc Raiders properly releases on October 30th, but we can be absolutely certain that it won't be dead on arrival.
