fullmetal alchemist It is a world built on the law of equivalent exchange, and nothing can better test that basic principle than the homunculus. These artificial humans are the physical embodiment of the Seven Sins of the Father, and are the main antagonists who pull Amestris's strings from the shadows. Their special, supernatural abilities clashing with the Elric brothers provide some of the most physically and emotionally demanding scenes in the entire series.
Almost all members of this supposedly “evil” family are endowed with fearsome regenerative and supernatural abilities, but their powers are not equal. Some of them are based on brute strength and sheer physical strength, while others use reality-bending shadows or absolute mastery of human combat abilities. Their ranking shows the complex order of the Father's creation, a god-like creation that seeks to devour the sun itself and forever surpass the boundaries of humanity.
What is a homunculus?
A byproduct of the Philosopher's Stone mind, the Homunculus is an unnatural creature created by the One called the Father. They are all literal fragments of his soul thrown away to wash away man's sins such as greed and lust. Because they are powered by thousands of human souls, they can regenerate from almost any wound as long as there is energy in the stone at their core, making them virtually immortal. It is the ultimate alchemical taboo given to flesh and blood.

lust
Dubbed the Ultimate Spear, Lust is surprisingly limited despite its lethal accuracy. Her most lethal yet predictable weapon is her claws that can grow long enough to cut through anything. Although she is an expert at shadows and intrigue, she does not have the defensive capabilities of her older and more powerful siblings nor the scale to make them lethal.
Using close and mid-range stabs exposes her to AoE attacks. Roy Mustang has proven that although he has the ability to regenerate, he has definite limits when faced with constant fire. She is the most common threat due to her lack of a secondary combat trick, and has great lethality but the lowest overall versatility of the Seven Sins.
7
gluttony
Glutton may seem like a simple beast, but his “false door of truth” makes him a scary outlier. In standard form he is a ruthless stalker with an impressive bite, but his real danger comes when his belly opens up. This void can swallow anything it encounters, stripping it of matter.
But his weakness is his foolishness. He is easily controlled and sometimes uses his siblings to satisfy his hunger. His offensive ceiling is truly astronomical, but he is slow and predictable, making him easily defeated by skilled players. He is literally the definition of a glass cannon.
6
envy
Envy is a master of disguise and psychological warfare. Use your transformation to sneak inside and win the battle. They can also transform in battle into giant, multi-legged creatures composed of spirits in stone. This true form gives it immense stamina and a terrifying size superiority, giving it the ability to surpass its mass but lose its speed and become an easier target. This was shown in his fight with Roy, where he even taunted Envy, saying that it was now easier to target them.

Easy (120 seconds) Medium (90 seconds) Hard (60 seconds)
This brute force doesn't mean much. Envy's real self is a small, helpless parasite. They are also notorious for emotional outbursts and arrogance that lead to tactical mistakes. Deprived of their gigantic form, they are left with no real means of defense. They are strong not simply because of their fighting abilities, but because of their trickery.
5
sloth
Sloths are the strongest and most durable of all children, designed to carry out the arduous task of digging conversion circles across the country. Although he looks slow and stupid, he is actually the fastest homunculus when he wants to be, which is quite ironic because he is a sloth. His super-speed abilities turn his massive body into an invincible bone-crushing battering ram.
The irony is that he tends to be too lazy to move forward and miss the goal entirely. Since you have no tactical sense or sophisticated skills, you can get tired of teamwork and terrain tricks. He's a pure, raw statistical giant, but he's not a tactical warrior.
4
avarice
It is the only sin that still remains in the actual soul. Grid has the power to create the Ultimate Shield, or rather, the power to reorganize the body's carbon to create skin as hard as a diamond. This makes him nearly invulnerable to physical damage and allows him to transform his body parts into unbreakable blades. He later joins Ling Yao and learns martial arts.
His ability to develop strategies and perfect defense make him a nightmare in duels. But his shield has one flaw. The problem is that it takes time to focus to work and can be damaged by the alchemy of altering the carbon structure. It is very difficult to kill, but not as powerful as other sins.
3
rage
King Bradley stands out in that he is a non-regenerative man-made homunculus, but is probably the most dangerous at close range. His “Ultimate Eye” allows him to predict every movement and bullet trajectory. This insight, combined with his inhuman speed and swordsmanship, allows him to tear through entire armies.
He is the only sin who can put an elite alchemist to the test through mere talent. Although he is not immortal, his aggressive nature is so excessive that he rarely gets hurt by his opponents. What makes him weaker than Pride in the hierarchy is that his death is a limited resource. There comes a point where his old body just doesn't fit.
2
pride
Pride is the Father's first creation and the strongest of the Father's children, living in the body of a young boy to hide his appearance. He commands a massive, multi-eyed shadow that can spread throughout the city and devour anything it touches. This shadow cannot be destroyed and can devour other creatures to become like it.
His range and versatility are unmatched, as he can attack from any darkness. His only real weakness is complete light or complete darkness, which momentarily breaks his bond to shadow. Nevertheless, his ability to swallow his brothers is proof that he is his father's ultimate descendant.
1
father
The Father is the source of all alchemy on Amestris and the origin of all other homunculi. Although he was initially nothing more than a “dwarf in a flask”, he later gained human form and attempted to transcend existence. His powers are virtually infinite and he can easily create matter and manipulate energy.
In his prime, he literally opened the Gate of Truth with his bare hands, temporarily absorbed God, had the power to control reality, and was able to create the sun with the palm of his hand. He's not a character, he's a kind of character. Although he was later overpowered, it was thanks to the united efforts of the entire nation that he was driven out and finally defeated.
