We must go back to pre -order
Do you remember Black Friday? Amazon does not throw flash sales and daily transactions until Amazon breaks and does not need a blender. No, you are stupid really Black Friday. Wake up at 4 am and line up to outside toys-R-US for Buy-One-Get-One Amiibos Black Friday. The line of people sleeping in a chair that is folded outside the BEST BUY for the doorbuster DVDS Black Friday. Do you remember Black Friday? Do you remember how much you hate everyone?
I believe in me when I said that I had a sleeve on six different black Fridays, so no one hated Black Friday than me. A shameful embrace of crowds, despair, inconspicuous consumption. It is all very sad and rough, and I am pleased that the convenience and flexibility of online shopping almost killed the desire to line up outside the store in the middle of the night.
Unfortunately, the injury of online shopping was less than desirable results. In other words, Amazon employees not only work in inhuman conditions that need to be ill to be dismissed, but also pre -order game hardware has become an absolute nightmare.
The definition of madness…
After fighting bots and online mobs for every pre -order, I can say that I will stand there for a long time as long as I mean to draw my butt to 5AM and get what I really want. There is nothing to break more souls than spaming a new refresh button on a ruptured website. We all continue because they are angry, but there are no other ways.
Like many things, online pre -orders actually started during the epidemic period. Over the past five years, I've tried to order one PS5, Xbox Series X, Graphics Card, Trading Card, Trading Card, Play Date, Retro Pocket, Edition of Collectors, dozens of action figures and real -size lighting. One. hour.
Last week, I joined all the other naive fools with boldness to simply visit the website and pre -order switch 2, and it was as disaster as all other pre -orders. Walmart, Target and Gamestop both advertised that the pre -orders would live in Midnight et. And do you know what happened? you're right. All websites have exploded.
My partner and I decided to share and conquer the ridiculous game of the fastest finger, so I was hiding on the Target's website while hiding in Best Buy's. In the stroke of 9:01, I saw the pre -order button of the target light. I clicked on it and surprisingly, the switch 2 was already sold out. When I arrived at Walmart's page after 2.5 seconds, it was sold out there.
My partner is getting worse on the BEST BUY site. She constantly reached a new page for the next 30 minutes and waited for a live broadcast. She was still trapped when she finally popped out, and despite the spam added to the cart, she eventually took time and kicked it back to the homepage and put it in the queue.
I achieved my goal for an hour to not give up. The site will be barely loaded, and in that case, all of them just throw away the error message. I eventually got a switch 2 from my cart, but it was still nearly 45 minutes from success. I ordered a place there.
I am one of the lucky people. Unlike many people, my goal pre -order has not been canceled. According to this site, delivery may be delayed until June 10, but you have to take what can be obtained. That is what you have to go to for a privilege that gives you $ 500 to the store. What did they do to us?
Ask for an old way. This is a good way
There is nothing fair for online pre -orders. How early you arrive, there is no real line, and if you correct everything correctly and click on the button as soon as possible, the boys are still likely to beat you. Considering all technical problems, I don't know how long the online pre -order has actually lasted, but it will be measured in a few seconds.
I know it's terrible, but we must go back to pre -order. I hate some credit to Gamestop, but it sounds like the pre -orders in the store are incredibly smooth. Each store posted the number of pre -orders that can be used on the door the night before, and people lined up every time they wanted, and when the store opened the door, everyone who was expected to predict pre -ordered order. Only those who are waiting in the normal normal line, no bots, no mysteries.
I don't like to think that I'm sleeping in a cold concrete to buy a toy, but at this point I prefer it for the torture of online pre -order. Unless retailers implement a fair and reliable queue system, if we do not implement a system that filters out bots and truly comes and provides them first, we must wait in line as in the past. Give me a line, give me lottery, give me a real hope, but do not give me online charades.
