One such revival is taking place with Wood Release, one of the most powerful Kekkei Genkai wielded by the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. When it comes to Wood Release, there aren't many characters that you can naturally access. In fact, in the entire Naruto series, Hashirama Senju is known to be the only character born with this ability through natural means.

Aside from Moegi, there are other characters who could potentially utilize Wood Release, including the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto received the Hashirama Cell in the final part of the series in episode 699, which was officially released on November 24, 2014 in the 50th issue of Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump. These Hashirama cells offer the potential to utilize wood emissions, combined with using both earth emissions and water emissions. Unfortunately, Naruto has never felt the need to utilize Wood Release due to his overwhelming Six Paths Powers, but now that he is much weaker than before after losing Kurama in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter #55, Wood Release could potentially become one of his most powerful weapons after his return in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Also worth noting is the series' protagonist, Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto cannot access Wood Release on his own, but through karma, he can access all of Momoshiki Otsutsuki's abilities. In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter #8, Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #2, officially released on December 12, 2016, Momoshiki utilized Wood Release through a technique officially called Inukai Takeru no Mikoto. This technique allowed him to manipulate the roots of the God Tree itself in his dimension, giving him access to one of the most powerful Wood Release jutsus ever seen in the entire series. It was even stronger than Hashirama Senju. Considering that Boruto Uzumaki now has access to all of Momoshiki's powers, this technique should naturally belong to him. Therefore, Boruto himself is a candidate for the use of Wood Release in the Two Blue Vortex series.

Wood Release is one of the most powerful Kekkei Genkai that exists in the Naruto franchise, and unfortunately, it is one that often goes unnoticed due to its rarity. But now, with Boruto: Two Blue Vortex listing several strong candidates, Wood Release can finally get the attention it deserves. This Kekkei Genkai is incredibly powerful and in some ways has the ability to rival even the most powerful powers such as the Uchiha Mangekyo Sharingan and even the Rinnegan. Against the powerful Shinju, who are technically creations of the Ten-Tails, Wood Release can play a vital role by absorbing the massive amount of chakra they possess.

It goes without saying that Wood Release is one of the most powerful Kekkei Genkai in the story and one of the most coveted powers present in the verse, but little is known about it. It is unclear why Senju Hashirama was the only individual in the world who had natural access to this power, and why it did not appear to any other Senju in the years that followed. It's also very interesting that no one had access to Wood Release before Hashirama. This is a very mysterious story that we all want answers from Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, who have been fans of the series for almost 30 years.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex gives us the opportunity to put the Kekkei Genkai under the microscope once again. Perhaps all these knowledge questions will be expanded and answered. Boruto has already expanded Otsutsuki's story, and we can only hope that Wood Release Kekkei Genkai does something similar.
