A politician convicted of embezzlement bought several consoles, GTA 5 and other gaming equipment.

What would you do if you suddenly had a lot of money? You will invest it and make money with that money, right? But what if you make money in a non-legal way? Well, the movie suggests that you should keep your money low and use it to quietly buy everything you've always wanted. But it's important to take it slow. But former Scottish National Party leader Peter Murrell appears not to have seen these films.

Murrell recently pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $500,000 from the party between August 2010 and October 2022. According to the BBC, he used the money to buy many things, including luxury goods, jewellery, two cars and even a campervan. But Murrell has splashed cash on game shopping right out of our dreams.

In addition to expensive watches, multiple coffee machines and a fancy Jaguar, Merrell also reportedly bought $2,500 worth of consoles, games and accessories. Like his party, he has shown no allegiance to one manufacturer, purchasing PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo hardware. Most notable are the four separate 3DS consoles.

Among the games he purchased were various FIFA titles, starting with FIFA 12, Pac-Man, Galaga, The Sims 3 Pets, Battlefield 4 for Xbox 360, and GTA 5 for PlayStation 4. I wonder how much they spent on FIFA's Ultimate Team or GTA's Shark Card.

Apart from that, he also bought a Turtle Beach headset, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iPad Pro, and Apple Magic Keyboard. Even though it took 10 years to edit, it's truly a massive undertaking.

It's okay if you don't buy a new console for a while.

PlayStation and Xbox will eventually release new consoles, so why not wait a few more years?

It's surprising that Murell hasn't purchased any current-gen consoles or PC components. Perhaps he was waiting for GTA 6 to release before finally splashing out big money again.
