The individual in question, who identifies himself as Max H, claims to have been working as a Czech-English translator at Warhorse Studios since July 2022. They claim they were invited to a meeting on March 27, 2026, and were suddenly informed that their positions at the company would become “obsolete” from April 2026. According to the statement, the company informed Max H that its drive to be “more efficient” and “save finances” had led to its desire to use “AI for all future translations.” Max H also claims that there have been conversations about using AI for translation at Warhorse Studios in the past, and that Max H has “always been strongly and vocally opposed” to such changes. Max H now feels “incredibly betrayed” but has asked fans to stop harassing his remaining staff and refrain from bombarding him with reviews of all of Warhorse Studios' games.
At the time of writing, there is no official statement from Warhorse Studios regarding Max H's claims. The moderator of the original Reddit post claims to have officially confirmed Max H's identity, but it is not yet known how this confirmation was completed. Some commenters below the post believe they have found a LinkedIn account potentially associated with Max H, but this also remains unsubstantiated at this time.
