Now, in 2026, the film is still playing regularly in theaters, and it's easy to see why. The quality delivered in this incredibly successful film was truly fantastic. The amazing animation and intense combat in this two-hour film from Studio Ufotable makes it worth seeing more of the film. Now fans will be able to experience the film again in theaters in a whole new way.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is already set for a 4DX release, but a new release is coming soon, making this return even more special. Demon Slayer's Infinity Castle movie has been officially confirmed as a 4DX Breathing Enhanced edition. This is definitely an interesting term being used to promote this re-release, and fans aren't exactly sure what it means. Of course, it is assumed that this 4DX production will especially highlight the breathing style used in the movie. If true, this new version will take the experience of watching the new Demon Slayer movie to a whole new level. This is especially true when characters like Giyuu, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Shinobu come into full force with their incredible breathing styles.
This 4DX Breathing Enhanced Edition will be released soon in Japan on February 20, 2026.. Unfortunately, this physical 4DX release is currently only confirmed to be released in Japan. It's currently unknown whether it will be released internationally, but it's not impossible to make it global, as we've seen with other versions of the film.

It's no secret that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was a huge success. Ultimately, it broke many records, including being the highest-grossing animated film of all time, both in Japan and overseas. No other series has achieved similar numbers to Demon Slayer, and that includes anime giants like Dragon Ball or One Piece.
With this success, it's no surprise that numerous re-releases and special editions were released. 4DX Breathing Enhanced Edition is Demon Slayer's latest release, but it received a special IMAX release just over a week ago, making it the first animated film ever to do so. Obviously, this movie will continue to garner attention until Infinity Castle Part 2 is released. Aside from that, the only thing fans are really excited about right now is a streaming release, which will come sometime in 2026, as Crunchyroll hinted.
It looks like Demon Slayer will continue to receive various re-releases as the studio tries to maximize the profits from this incredible film. While these releases are certainly exciting in and of themselves, fans won't lose too much if they don't catch them. The only thing fans are truly concerned about when it comes to Demon Slayer is the release date of Infinity Castle Part 2. We hope this update will be available to fans soon as well.
