iPhone Fold design leaked ahead of official announcement

Popular tech YouTuber Jon Prosser is sharing early 3D renders of the iPhone Fold, which is expected to be released next year. The iPhone Fold will reportedly sport a similar layout to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold line of phones and will fold horizontally to increase screen size. While the iPhone Fold will boast a 5.5-inch display on the outside of the phone, the inside of the foldable will reportedly expand the iPhone's screen size to 7.8 inches. The iPhone Fold is also rumored to offer one big advantage over other similar foldable phones, Apple claims it has found a way to eliminate wrinkles on the internal screen. Prosser claims that the iPhone Fold will launch sometime in 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.

Prosser goes into more detail about the specs and features of the new foldable iPhone in the video. The phone will reportedly include a 'hole punch' camera in the top left corner of the foldable screen, similar to the internal cameras used in other foldable phones. Prosser also details how Apple is trying to eliminate the infamous wrinkles on the interior, which is said to be aided by a combination of “metal plates that distribute pressure more evenly” and “liquid metal.”
