Persona Studio Director Kazuhisa Wada has revealed that one of his ambitions for 2026 is the opportunity to announce “future developments” for the series. surely I mean Persona 6.

Persona fans have had enough to keep them going nearly a decade since Persona 5 was first released, but that hasn't stopped us all from asking one question. Where the heck is Persona 6? Sega and Atlus have made it very clear that the next big game in the series is in the works, but we haven't seen anything concrete other than a green leak.

When asked about his ambitions for 2026, Wada pointed out that this year will mark Persona's 30th anniversary and that there will be “a variety of initiatives on a global scale” that fans can look forward to. Considering how long it's been since the Persona games have been out, I can't help but think that Wada is referencing the long-awaited Persona 6 here. It's likely a reference to the Persona 4 revival, but Atsushi Nomura explicitly mentions all the support and excitement for it in interviews, suggesting it's not really a “future development” in the same way a new mainline game is.
