Kingdom Hearts 2 Fans Spot Strange Mistake in Prologue

More than two decades later, eagle-eyed Kingdom Hearts 2 players have discovered a strange mistake hiding in the game's Twilight Town prologue.

If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, you'll love the first game in the series. ton Hidden details and secrets. From just about everything in Wonderland to Sora Out of Shadows in Neverland, this 23-year-old game is timeless and has been telling stories for us all for two decades. The same goes for Kingdom Hearts 2.

Although Kingdom Hearts 2 is pretty easily the best. play The games in the series are much simpler and there isn't much to discover other than rough combat. That is, unless you pay very close attention to one scene while playing as Roxas in the prologue.

There's a strange translation error hidden in Kingdom Hearts 2's prologue.

I've been playing this game for 20 years and never noticed it.

On the Kingdom Hearts subreddit, Reddit user SaucyJack01 shared some very interesting details he discovered while replaying the game. In the scene where Roxas receives a letter from Hayner on the third day, Roxas's speech bubble reads “Meet me at the station. Today is the day we go to the beach. Don't worry about the rabbit!”

Riku from Kingdom Hearts 1, Kingdom Hearts background with Twitch logo on the left.

Watching Riku play Kingdom Hearts is exactly what fans need right now.

With Kingdom Hearts 4 still MIA, Riku's voice actor for the series is keeping me going.

This is exactly what I have experienced for 20 years now. But that's not where it ends, as SaucyJack01 pointed out that the letter actually has writing that is legible if you look close, so it's a completely different text. The letter itself actually says, “Waiting for you at the station. Friends, today is our beach day! (Munny? No problem!).”

I absolutely believe Hayner will write “no problem” like he's a total idiot. This is the game's equivalent of saying “We completely own you” with complete indifference.

It's a small mistake in the grand scheme of things, but an interesting one nonetheless. SaucyJack01 also pointed out that the letters are written in English in all versions of the game, which seems to confirm that it is the standard language in the Kingdom Hearts universe. Or at least it is for Twilight Town.

Ultimately, the problem was that the translator was working on the game and didn't realize that the letter was already written in English, or he was working from a given script. Either way, it's such a fascinating detail about Kingdom Hearts 2 that it's hard to believe it went unnoticed for so long, although the HD textures and 4K resolution of the remix release probably helped a lot in surfacing it.

Yakuza 5 may not be your typical Christmas game, but it's definitely one of the best.

Nothing says Christmas like a Hatsune Miku ice sculpture from Yakuza 5.
