Expedition 33 players are struggling to defeat a new DLC boss in the Endless Tower.

After sweeping the record-breaking Game Awards, winning almost every category in which it was nominated, Claire Obsker: Expedition 33 Developer Sandfall Interactive has announced that new content has been added to the game to celebrate. There's quite a bit of content in the update, but the most talked-about addition is the extremely challenging boss added to the Endless Tower.

Besides these bosses Claire Obsker: Expedition 33The 1.5.0 update includes the following features:

• New outfits for all members of Expedition 33.

• New weapon.

• New Luminas.

• The Lumina set is basically a loadout of Luminas. Up to 50 items can be saved.

• Abandon combat feature in the pause menu that allows players to resume combat more quickly.

• Full-featured photo mode.

• A new location called Verso's Drafts, accessible in Act 3 via Esquie's underwater ability. This area contains new music.

Still, when it comes to what's new, the talk of the town is the boss battle. Claire Obsker: Expedition 33 Update. Before this patch, the game already had some challenging enemies. Simon is notoriously difficult, as is Clea, and Painttress is no slouch either. Golgra is another tough endgame encounter, and the various Chromatic bosses will push gamers to their limits each time they encounter them on their journey. However, according to some players who have braved the Endless Tower and battled the threats of the latest endgame, these new additions are even more powerful than the hardest bosses before.

Why is Clair Obscur's new boss so difficult?

When players see the name, they will immediately see why the additional tower bosses are so difficult. That's because these variants are remixed versions of the base game's options, including the already overpowering Simon. Considering how tough Simon and Clea are in their base forms, it's no surprise that Reddit users like csreynolds84 feel the new Endless Tower boss is cheap. The cheesiness comes from a deceptively huge health bar that refills after being depleted multiple times, and a buffed version of Simon's one-time attacks. Some people have even called the Endless Tower addition the hardest boss in the game.

Although Simon has become more infamous with his new version, it's worth noting that not everyone agrees that all of the additional bosses are problematic. For example, another Reddit thread from user sebicy saw a player complaining about spending an hour and a half trying to lower Osquio, only to lose everything after one mistake and dodge without any spare requisition or resurrection options. However, many players argue that while the fight is tough, it shouldn't take that long, and that it's either a build issue or the OP is sub-par. The jury is out on Chromatic Lampmaster, Clea Unleashed and Simon, the Divergent Star, which may be overly difficult, but at least Osquio seems to have been generally well-received (even if his last attack was considered “rage bait” and “cheap”). Ultimately, the timing of dodging attacks is brutal, but some gamers feel the boss is “somewhat fair.”
