Where Winds Meet is taking over the internet. From adorable and fun vehicles to the ability to perform Kung Fu Hustle moves, this game has some pretty neat features. However, one of the best new features is AI NPCs. While most games have NPCs with fixed lines of dialogue, this game features a simple AI chatbot.
As expected, players have been trying to crack the chatbot, with one convincing an NPC that she was pregnant with his child, and another convincing himself that he had solved the puzzle by simply telling the AI that he was. Moving things along, I recently tried to get another player to sleep with an NPC and was successful.
Where Winds Meet's AI NPCs Get Playful
A screenshot shared on Reddit by Oglokes24 shows a chat with an NPC. “So I finally decided to talk to the NPC, when I came across this woman whose husband appeared to be in the war,” they said. “I was trying to see if an npc would do something that often happens when a friend leaves his wife to serve. This game really has it all. I had no idea how deep this game was. The game just froze after this. 10/10 funny timing.”
If you look at the chat logs, you can see that the conversation is getting increasingly difficult. It's full of sound effects, special instructions, and more. I hope the NPC's husband doesn't show up unannounced. It's clear that these chatbots have no filters, so we expect to see more incidents of players trying ridiculous things using chatbots.
But it takes some effort to make this change. Oglokes24 admits it's been quite a while since he's had a conversation about this topic. Of course, they claim that they are waiting to see how far AI will go, and we completely believe this. I hope it's not as easy as it looks, but I doubt the developers want Where Winds Meet to be known as a sexy chatbot game.
