I recently completed a marathon of The Legend of Zelda games. Here are my official rankings:

I remember playing a lot. The Legend of Zelda I played games as a kid, but to my recollection, I never beat most of them. with Tears of the Kingdom and Echo of Wisdom In recent years, I've decided it's best to call me and play through to the end. All mainline titles in order Before we look at the latest two The Legend of Zelda stratagem. Editor-in-Chief Dalton Cooper insisted I keep that ranking, which gave him a 2 because of the fair spoiler warning.

This list is based entirely on my opinion, and according to some people I've met in my life, my opinion is not good. That's it. There's also a reason I'm not going back to Korea The Legend of Zelda Years of gaming; As I got older, I realized that in any game, I was more annoyed by the puzzles than I was intrigued by them. And obviously they're a big part of the game. zelda stratagem. I've also missed the zeitgeist of many of these games, so to diverge from other opinions as much as possible, here are my official rankings for all 20 mainlines. zelda stratagem.

1

ghost hourglass

great ghost hourglassand that's my favorite zelda game. I liked the way it followed up wind wakerIt really resonated with my inner pirate lover, both in terms of characters and gameplay. My favorite part was the Temple of the Ocean King. Because I felt it handled the evolving puzzles, exploration, and combat really well. The pattern immediately clicked for me, it had a cozy gaming element to it. ghost hourglass It resonated with me too. Overall, I don't have anything bad to say about this game, and there rarely is.

connections between worlds It's up there ghost hourglass. Both worlds were fantastic. The soundtrack really resonated with me (I'm not usually obsessed with soundtracks), and the gameplay really appealed to me. Ability to merge with walls connections between worlds It was a core mechanic that felt very smooth overall. A unique story with a more nostalgic setting ( zelda Anyway) And thanks to the striking art style, I really enjoyed everything about this movie. connections between worlds.

3

Tears of the Kingdom

Recency bias? maybe. We'll take a look at my thoughts breath of the wild Soon, but in short I think Tears of the Kingdom took everything breath of the wild And we turned it up a few notches. I wasn't necessarily impressed with the new mechanics, except once or twice like Fuse, but I thought it fit the direction of the world. I won't take any praise away from it. (Although I have some complaints breath of the wild(funnily enough).

4

skyward sword

I knew a lot of things zelda The timeline begins skyward swordBut actually experiencing it was a whole other story. It seems like a neat nod to the franchise as a whole, as it's easier to understand which timeline the game is set in if you know where it originates. The story, the characters, the artistic direction, everything feels my way.

5

wind waker

wind waker It's one of my wife's favorites. The Legend of Zelda After playing the game and diving into it, I completely understood why. When I got to it I was understandably a bit underwhelmed by the classic setting, so a game that really experimented with the formula spoke to me. Once again, it spoke to the pirate lover in me, while also introducing some great characters and challenges. my biggest problem is wind wakeris just the sheer size of the map. Maybe it could have been halved and it would have made the sailing gameplay stand out more.

6

twilight princess

i put twilight princess It's perfect wind waker. I liked the dark side, and the gameplay was as fun as I expected. Even the puzzles weren't much of a distraction for me. Midna’s character is also something to see. I think the main gameplay hook of turning into a wolf wears a little thin towards the end of the game, but overall it's a great experience. like Conductor of the Winds, Twilight Princess Taking my wife on trips always helps the game because it's one of her favorite things to do.

In my opinion, I consider all of the above games to be my favorite Zelda games or S-Tier games. Yes, I know what's missing. I promise they will come.

7

breath of the wild

I promised to try to stay away from popular opinion as much as possible, but I have to say that I don't understand why people think that way. breath of the wild Revolutionary. That's probably true for franchises. But I've played this type of open world game before. Overall, it feels very similar to a Ubisoft open world game, which is a pretty mild criticism in my opinion. Still, I mostly liked everything. I don't have particularly strong feelings about health or how weapons break, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this interpretation of Hyrule. I enjoyed it, even though it didn't grab me as strongly as the sequel.

Yes, I know this game is one of the most highly rated games of all time. sorry. I like it, but I don't.

8

Majora's Mask

Majora's Mask It is a sequel to ocarina of time By every definition of the word, it fits perfectly. i know ocarina of time Although I am loved a little more Majora's Mask's eerie atmosphere, core gameplay loop, and overall direction connected more to me.

9

ocarina of time

Funny enough, there are more memorable things. ocarina of time more than anything else zelda A game I've played since I was young. I really enjoyed this game on the Nintendo 64, but I don't think I've ever gotten past Shadow Temple before. I played it on 3DS this time and really enjoyed it. Fun dungeons, solid graphics, and a very simple time travel story all seem to represent the minimum level of tolerable in puzzles. It's not my favorite, but I definitely like it a lot. Yes, I know this game is basically the highest rated game of all time and I think it deserves that praise, but it doesn't give me that award.

I really like the above game, so this one qualifies as “A grade”.

all about link to the past Speaking to me, from the presentation to the gameplay, I know several key elements of the game were introduced. The Legend of Zelda franchise. In general, I really like games that cover both worlds. I think it deserves every high spot on any list of the best games ever made, but I don't know if that's because it missed the zeitgeist or what. It doesn't speak to me on the same level as the other games above. I quite like it, but it didn't capture my imagination the same way the others did. zelda The games on this list do.
