Pokemon Legends: ZA Released just three weeks ago, it's had a mixed response, with some fans of the series loving the exploration game with tons of customization options, while others dislike the gameplay loop and how it changes the tried and true turn-based combat formula. Even though the game came out very recently, there's already a new DLC trailer showing off some of the features and the return of Pokémon we can look forward to when it releases on December 10th. Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Evolutions are a big part of its hype and success, so it's only natural that DLC would add more. But today's trailer introduces not only Mega Chimecho and Baxcalibur, but all of the remaining 17 Megas in the DLC.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Chimecho and Baxcalibur are already receiving rave reviews from fans for their improved designs compared to the original Critters, and many players are curious what Hyperspace Lumiose's main action will look like. There are a few clues about the DLC's potential roguelike features, but one of Mega Dimension's main attractions is the inclusion of several new Mega Evolutions and many returning Pokémon to play with. Considering that Chimecho and Baxcalibur have already been leaked and have new Megas, this serves as confirmation for all the other Mega Evolutions on the leaked list. These include:
-
Raichu
-
Raichu Y (Electric, probably Electric/Fighting)
-
Chimecho (Psychic/Steel)
-
Absol (TBD, probably a twist on the current Mega Absol design by keeping it Dark and making the black parts dominant and white parts accessories)
-
Staraptor (TBD)
-
Garchomp (undetermined, probably prefers water or fire and will lose land)
-
Lucario (TBD, probably loses Steel for Psychic)
-
Heatran (undetermined, probably will remain Fire/Steel)
-
Darkrai (TBD)
-
Goluk (TBD)
-
Yao Stick (TBD)
-
Crab meat available (TBD)
-
Golisopod (TBD)
-
Magiana (TBD)
-
Zeraora (undetermined, probably will remain electric or gain combat abilities)
-
Scovillain (undetermined, probably left as grass/fire)
-
Glymora (TBD)
-
Tatsugiri (TBD)
-
Backscalibur (Dragon/Ice)
Since Scovillain and Heatran are the only Pokémon, it's likely they will retain their original types. Garchomp can easily build a Pokedex entry for lava or play as a shark. Lucario can gain Psychic to better reflect its personality as an Aura Pokemon.
Say hello to Pokemon Legends: ZA's Confirmed DLC Mega Evolution List
The leaked list was reported on Twitter by Centro Leaks after data miners discovered scrubbed data for all the various Megas and their Pokedex numbers in the game files. Pokemon Legends: ZA came out Mega Heatran, Darkrai, and Zeraora are not included in the list as they have already been leaked due to the Mega Stone being discovered in the game files.
Baxcalibur's inclusion on the list is particularly interesting. That's because dataminers had doubts about the Mega Evolutions list due to a leaked Pokedex. Pokemon Legends: ZAThere is no data for Gen 9 animals in the DLC. But Baxcalibur is very much in the game, and so is Annihilape. This proves that the leaks are all true, as well as the leaked Mega Evolutions for the remaining Gen 9 Pokemon: Scovillain, Glimora, and Tatsugiri.
Mega Pyroar in Pokemon Legends: ZA combines the gender differences between male and female Pyroar into a single Mega, so it's likely that Tatsugiri will also get a Mega that combines different colors.
Another interesting detail is that Magearna and Glimora are both listed and have a flower-like appearance reminiscent of the Ultimate Weapon or even Ange. Pokemon Legends: ZA. It may be a coincidence, but it's likely that these two Pokémon will have Mega Evolutions similar to those in the Gen 6 games or Ange's Ultimate Weapon. There's no word yet on what the new DLC Megas will look like, but Chimecho and Baxcalibur have been confirmed, so this list should be almost, if not completely, accurate.
