MTG Commander decks would have greatly benefited from the new Secret Lair Encyclopedia product. Some of these cards are already staples of the format, but unfortunately their deals have ended. Additionally, many community members are already upset that they lost their place in the queue due to technical issues, which delayed the drop's launch by 30 minutes.
Responses to a Twitter post announcing the 30-minute delay have been mostly negative, with fans demanding the return of prints for all Secret Lair products. Others are lamenting the fact that Secret Lair products are notoriously purchased by bot accounts, which are later sold for more than twice the price on eBay, TCGPlayer, Cardmarket and similar websites.
Secret Rare's Encyclopedia of Magic is unfortunately not currently available outside of resellers, so anyone who spends time waiting in line and receives a message saying the product is sold out will be leaving empty-handed. This isn't a new problem, but it's even more painful when you consider the technical difficulties that are causing some fans to lose their places in the queue, leaving others to take better or worse positions in the queue.
