Pokemon Legends: ZA It just launched today for most of the world, and many fans are now starting their journey in Lumiose City or taking some time off over the weekend. on a large scale pokemon Dumb, I'm up to date on everything related. Pokemon Legends: ZA Before a release, I always like to work on creating the optimal team, from new combat systems to Megas. This is something I do all the time, because I like creating theories and “getting” ways to succeed in games. After some back and forth, creating 5 or 6 possible teams for each starting pitcher and optimizing them all as best as I could, I decided on Tepig and deeply regret my choice.
If you're curious about what it is Pokemon Legends: ZA To start making choices, stop for a moment and ask yourself which ones you love the most and which ones will bring you the most joy. This is probably true of any game where you have to choose a character or animal. Anyway, I always find the hard way that the first playthrough is the worst. However, this is not to say that Tepig is inherently bad, as each of PLZA's starting pitchers has strengths and weaknesses. Actually, I really like Little Pig, and it was my first starter in the 5th generation.
but, Pokemon Legends: ZA There are no new Pokémon, it all comes down to Mega Evolutions and exciting new fighting styles. Personally, I didn't like Emboar aesthetically, but I find Meganium still pretty bad after some buffs, and Feraligatr never really clicked for me. So I went and took the cute pig for a walk and started leveling it up and evolving it and then I was shocked. When it comes to team composition and aesthetics, which of the other two starters would I have liked better?
My Pokémon Legends: ZA Starter suddenly became the worst choice for me
One of the reasons I don't like the Emboar is because it's inherently aggressive in appearance. Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Emboar is still Fire/Fighting, while Mega Meganium becomes Grass/Fairy and Mega Feraligatr becomes Water/Dragon. I like novelty, and that's Exhibit A as to why Chikorita or Totodile would have been happier.
Additionally, Fire and Fighting have amazing new Mega Evolutions. Pokemon Legends: ZAChandelure and Pyroar for the former, Barbaracle, Falinks and Hawlucha for the latter, etc. To be honest, I like them all better than MBOA. Tepig is a different beast, but unfortunately the game isn't built to keep your starter a cute baby forever. Exhibit B of why I hate starter choices is that I desperately want to use Chandelure or Pyroar for Fire and Falink for Fighting, but stacking those types with Emboar is a bad choice.
My current Pokemon Legendary: ZA team is as follows:
Originally, I wasn't going to include any other Fire-type or Fighting-type Pokémon in my Embore team, but after looking at all the Megas in the game, I realized they weren't for me. Mega Falinks is probably one of the best single concepts for evolution. pokemon Mega Pyroar reminds me of one of my three cats. Technically I can still use Emboar, Pyroar and Falinks all on a team, but that means my coverage is poor and my weaknesses are shared between various animals. The current teams are:
-
Embore (Fire/Fighting)
-
Frog (Ice/Ghost)
-
Big Tree Bell (Grass/Poison)
-
Skamori (Steel/Flying)
-
Elektros (electricity)
-
Starmy (Water/Psychic)
If I chose Chikorita or Totodile as my starter, I could have easily swapped them out for Victreebel or Starmie respectively, then Emboar and Eelektross for Pyroar and Falinks, my new favorite Megas. Mega Starmie might be the best new Mega Evolution. Pokemon Legends: ZAAnd even though Mega Meganium's movepool is terrible, picking Chikorita would have been the best choice for me so I could keep Starmy on the team as well.
I officially boxed up my Pokemon Legends: ZA starter
Rather, right now I'm thinking about what to keep and what to do, so I'm even thinking about drastically changing the team and making the ultimate effort. pokemon Sin – Remove my starter from the team. You can catch other starters in the game, but I haven't found one yet and they aren't exactly the same. So my plan is to use a completely different team that doesn't include Mega Emboar. Pokemon Legends: ZA. It is as follows:
-
Mega Pyroar (Fire/Normal, Special Attacker)
-
Mega Far Link (Fighting, Physical Attack)
-
Mega Skamory (Steel/Flying, Physical Attack)
-
Megastarmy (water/superpower, hybrid attack type)
-
Mega Big Tree Bell (Grass/Poison, Special Attack type)
-
Mega Xcadrill (ground/steel, physical attack type)
At that point my team's overall defense would be:

I know this may be a huge bummer on my part, but between disliking both basic Emboar and Mega Emboar and liking both Pokemon of overlapping types much more, I think cutting the starter from the team is the most logical choice. After all, the game should be fun even if you leave your first partner Pokémon behind. That's so sad and that's why it's so hard. But at the same time, I think it's for the best.
