ZA's Mega Baxcalibur confirms the sad pseudo-legendary trend

With launch Pokemon Legends: ZAMany fans of the series were delighted to purchase the Mega Evolution exclusive game as a gimmick, confirming that it was one of the most beloved games of all time. Not only that, but the game also includes a ton of new Mega Evolutions, so fans will still have access to most of the existing games from Gen 6 games, as well as a roster of 26 new games. yes, Pokemon Legends: ZA's DLC adds 19 new Mega Evolutions, which were basically confirmed in the latest trailer due to the presence of Chimecho and Baxcalibur, which were leaked at the base game's launch.

The mere fact that Megavaxcalibur exists Pokemon Legends: ZA While this is great news for those who loved the strong Gen 9 pseudo-legendaries, it further cements a sad trend for one of the remaining pseudo-legendaries. This group of Pokemon is an exclusive club of 10 animals with a BST of 600, and are often the best pocket monsters available in their generation. These are:

  • Dragonite (Dragon/Flight, Generation 1)

  • Tyranitar (Rock/Dark, 2nd generation)

  • Salamence (Dragon/Flying, Generation 3)

  • Metagross (Steel/Psychic, 3rd generation)

  • Garchov (Dragon/Ground, Generation 4)

  • Hydragon (Dark/Dragon, 5th generation)

  • Goodra (Dragon, 6th generation)

  • Kommo-o (Dragon/Fighting, Gen 7)

  • DragPult (Dragon/Ghost, 8th generation)

  • Backscalibur (Dragon/Ice, 9th generation)

Although these are all some of the best Pokemon to use, Pokemon Legends: ZA And each mainline game isn't exactly created equal. Every quasi-legendary in the series has received some love, either in the debut generation or in future games, and with Mega Baxcalibur confirmed, this isn't just the case for Dragapult.

Pokemon Legendaries: ZA officially makes Dragapult the worst pseudo-legendary.

Not only are fake legendary Pokémon extremely powerful, but they are usually given additional gimmicks to follow up on fan reactions or simply to make them even better. The list so far includes:

  • Dragonite: Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZA
  • tyrant: Mega Evolution in Gen 6, Paradox Pokémon (Iron Thorns) in Gen 9
  • Salamence: Mega evolution of Gen 6, Paradox Pokemon (Roaring Moon) of Gen 9
  • metagross: Mega Evolution in Gen 6
  • Garchov: 6th generation mega evolution, 2nd generation mega evolution Pokemon Legends: ZADLC (based on leak)
  • hydragon: Gen 9's Paradox Pokémon (Iron Jugulis)
  • Goodra: local form Pokemon Legends: Arceus (Hisuian Goodra)
  • Commoo: Gen 7's Z-Move (Clangorous Soulblaze)
  • drag pult: Not applicable
  • back calibur: Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZADLC

It could be argued that signature moves are also a gimmick of sorts, and while Dragapult gets dragon darts, other pseudo-legendaries also have signature moves. Metagross' Meteor Mash, Hisuian Goodra's Shelter, Kommo-o's Clangorous Soul and Clanging Scales, and Baxcalibur's Glaive Rush.

While Garchomp gets his second Mega Evolution in the Mega Dimension, Dragapult is reportedly not included in the game following a leaked Pokémon. Pokemon Legends: ZAThis is DLC. The silver lining is that Dragapult is the second most recent animal on the list, so it may still get some love in future releases.

Leaked Pokemon Legends: Galra Is Dragapult's Best Hope

Specifically, Pokemon Legends: ZA Confirm it was leaked Pokemon Legends: Galar In a number of ways, or at least tease this possibility. If so, it would make sense to get a regional type or even a Gudamax type, considering Galar is the home of the Dragapult lineage. After all, Hisuian takes several forms. Pokemon Legends: Arceus Animals were used to great effect in competitive gaming in Gen 9, and it could be argued that their regional forms have more permanence than Mega Evolution.

Pokemon Go players have been disappointed by the dismal spawn rate.

Interestingly, Pokemon Sword's Pokedex entry for Dreepy states that he wandered the prehistoric seas when he was alive, and Pokemon Violet's Pokedex entry states that he has had a habit of biting Clauncher since he was alive. It looks like Dragapult in the Dragon/Water zone form in Pokemon Legends: Galar is now almost confirmed.
