Dragon Quest 1 HD – 2D Remake Players can encounter the following musicians: Jalen If you continue to encounter him in various locations early in your adventure, you will eventually obtain Erdrick's Helmet and 'Erdrick's new song'Trophy/Achievement.

You'll also need to reach the end of this quest line to earn one of the 40 mini-medals. Specifically, you will get to the following locations: western island.

forgotten ruins
The first place you will encounter Zalen is in the Forgotten Ruins.This is a landmark south of the Temple of Rain and east (over the water) of the Wayfarer Chapel. It's located in the north center of the map, so you can access it early in the story. When you arrive, an exclamation point will appear above Zalen's head, ready to talk to him.
nameless ruins
The next location where you can find Zalen is in the Nameless Ruins.. They are located on the western side of the map, southwest of Craggy Cave and south of the Roadside Inn.
Put it in
Go to next location Put it in in the southwest. It's beyond the mountain, southwest of the fairy village. North of Medallion Lord's Citadel.
kantlin
kantlin This is the next place where Zalen will appear. It's in the southeast quadrant of the map (east of the Wayfarer's Inn and northwest of the Spirit of Shrine). You can see Jalen standing on a bridge near the pond in the center of town.
Galenholm
Galenholm Zalen is the next destination in the questline (it's in the northwest corner of the map). Zalen will spend some time on the beach once you get there. After talking to him, the next place to visit is….
flower garden
flower garden It's in the southwestern quadrant of the map, not far from the Mini Medal Lord. When you get there, you'll talk to the Over-Seer.
temple of rain
You can use zoom to go to the flower field. temple of rain Go north and talk to the Dream-Whisperer. She will take you to new places. western islandThis is the island west of Tantegel where Edrick first set foot on Alefgard.
western island
Go to the left side of the area and examine the tomb. Edric's Helmet. When you're ready to go, talk to the Dream Whisperer.
Limuldar
And as the final step in completing Zalen's quest line, 'Erdrick's New Song' TrophyI think we should visit Limuldar. It is located on the east side of the map, north of the Dwarf's Cave.
If you talk to Zalen (he'll be near the bench near the water) the quest line will end and you'll see the final cutscene for his arc.
