Pokemon Legends: ZA It's finally been released, and it includes a total of 26 new Mega Evolutions for players to play with as they progress through the game. Each Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZA They have their advantages, and players can choose which one to use based on appearance or personal preference, but not all of these animals are created equal.
Knowing which megas are good and which are mediocre can also help you choose a starter. Pokemon Legends: ZAAll three first partner Pokémon get new Mega Evolutions. Some of them are balanced and can be great assets, while others are mediocre at best.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Gen 6 starter Mega Evolutions are not currently available and are not included as they are tied to competitive play and owning a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Greninja in Season 1, Delphox in Season 2, and Chesnaught in Season 3.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's S-Tier Mega Evolution
- mega chandelier
- Mega Scamori
- Mega Starmy
- Mega Zygarde
To the surprise of many fans, Mega Starmie Pokemon Legends: ZAThis is the best Mega Evolution. It can be used early in the game and has excellent stats and movement range. With 660 base statistics (BST), the third highest among the new Megas, Starmie is a powerful hybrid attacker that is very fast to boot.
Chandelure is very similar as it has incredibly high Sp. Its attack stats are 175 and its BST is 620, giving it good defense and speed. With powerful moves and decent coverage against other types, Mega Chandelure stands taller than most Mega Evolutions in the game.
Mega Skarmory's BST is only 565, but its Sp is 40, making it incredibly optimized. It attacks with an incredible 140 attack stat and very high defense and speed, and has high stats in all other departments. Steel/Flying is a powerful Pokémon type combination with incredible defense and can deal some serious damage with good moves like Brave Bird and Iron Head.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Zygarde is already great, but Mega Evolution takes it to the next level. This Pokemon has supernatural 216 Sp. Attack statistics come with the only new move in the game called Nihil Light. This skill inflicts enormous damage regardless of changes in the opponent's abilities, and is also effective against fairy types.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Class A Mega Evolution
- Mega Barbaracle
- mega embore
- Mega Excadrill
- Mega Falinks
- Mega Feraligatr
- mega float
- Mega Hawlucha
- mega crafty
Barbaracle is one of the few Mega Evolutions with a new type. Pokemon Legends: ZAYou lose your Water type in favor of Fighting. It has very high attack and defense power, good overall bulk, and decent speed. With its variety of STAB moves and coverage moves, Mega Barbaracle is a very strong choice for any team.
mega embore Pokemon Legends: ZA It's not amazing, but it definitely packs a punch. The attack power is very high at 148, but the base attack power is 123, so it does not improve much. However, it has good stats, good STAB moves, and is resistant to a variety of annoying types.
Mega Excadrill's attack stats are 165, one of the highest in the game, and it has good HP, defense, and speed. a very powerful combination pokemon Good choices for ground movement and steel are also great additions. This is especially true when considering resistance.
Pokemon Sword and ShieldFalinks is the only Gen 8 animal in the game, and coincidentally, it also gets a new Mega Evolution. Like Embore, it has very high attack and defense power, and its speed is also quite high at 100. While Falinks only deals STAB damage with its fighting moves, Falinks has access to a wide range of area-of-effect moves that make it powerful against normally weak types.
Pokemon Legends: ZAMega Feraligatr doesn't change much in terms of defense or attack when it comes to the new Water/Dragon combo, but it does have an eye-catching 160 attack stat and some great moves. Although its design has proven to be polarizing, it is arguably one of the best megas in the game, mostly hampered by its low HP and speed.
Eternal Flower Floette is an interesting case because its BST is 1 point lower than Florges, but its Mega Evolution gains an extra 100 points, making it very powerful. Special attack and special defense are very high, but coverage is weak. However, for a Fairy-type Pokémon, it is incredibly powerful.
Hawlucha was one of the few Mega Evolutions publicly announced for the game. The base Pokemon may not be all that impressive, but Mega Hawlucha has very good stats combined with great movement and coverage, taking this fighting/flying beast to a new level.
mega crafty Pokemon Legends: ZA Basically, it has been confirmed that Naveen is an ace, and now that it is out, I am not disappointed. With 135 Defense and Special Defense and 130 Attack, Mega Scrafty can be the cherry on top for any team, which is further evidenced by its coverage moves and access to stat-boosting move mass-ups.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Class B Mega Evolution
- mega clef
- Mega Dragon Knight
- I'll go to Mega Dragal.
- Mega Drampa
- Mega Elektros
- mega frog
- Mega Pyroar
- Mega Big Tree Bell
Megaclevel's new Fairy/Flying type has been added. PLZA It's interesting in that it offers a new avenue for damage and defense, but it falls a bit short as it only has a few very good moves and Air Slash is the only strong flying-type attack. It has great defense despite being immune to both dragon and ground, but has sub-par options for moves that make it a mediocre mega.
Pokemon Legends: ZAMega Dragonite has fantastic stats with a BST of 700 and is overall a good Pokémon, but it feels like a bit of a downgrade from the original. Mega Dragonite has lower attack power than regular animals, but gains a lot of special attacks. However, the movepool is quite hybrid, so it is decent compared to other megas.
One of the most bizarre designs is the Mega Dragalge. Pokemon Legends: ZAIt appears to be part of the Ghost type but retains the original Poison/Dragon combo. Mega Dragalge has one of the highest special defense values in the game, and has high defense and special attack, but its 44 speed is far behind. In a game where Speed helps cool down all your moves, Mega Dragalge is dead on arrival.
Drampa is in a similar position to Dragalge. It has an amazing special attack of 160 and good bulk, but its speed is only 36. This means the following battles: Pokemon Legends: ZA It's not as soft as some of the other animals, making the Mega Drampa a decent choice overall.
Eelektross also gains Mega Evolution, and while its stats are impressive for a hybrid attacker, it has significant flaws. Perhaps most notably, Mega Eelektross loses levitate and ground immunities for the following reasons: Pokemon Legends: ZA Cutting ability. It has access to decent moves, but its slightly better than average size makes it not one of the best megas in the game.
Proslas is the only new Ice-type Mega Evolution. Pokemon Legends: ZAThe ice is not a good type to begin with. It has an excellent special attack and a speed stat of 120, but is mediocre defensively as it resists three of the worst archetypes in the series.
Pokemon Legends: ZAMega Pyroar's speed value is mediocre overall, despite being the highest at 126. The biggest problem with this is that Mega Pyroar lacks good moves and coverage to use in combat, making it a sub-level choice.
Victreebel has one of the most fun designs among the new Megas. Although it has decent stats, the biggest problem Mega Victreebel faces is that Grass and Poison aren't great offensively and don't shine at mid-speed. They are also hybrid attackers, although this is not always a good thing.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's C-Tier Mega Evolution
- Mega Malamar
- Mega Meganium
- Mega scolipid
There was a fun marketing campaign called “My Friend Malamar”, but this Mega Evolution is by no means great. Mega Malamar has slightly above average stats in all slots, is designed to be a hybrid attacker with low attack and special attack, and is mediocre offensively.
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Meganium wastes no time in turning your Gen 2 starter into a great animal. Despite having amazing stats and getting Fairy as a secondary type, Mega Meganium leaves a lot to be desired in its move pool, with only a few viable attacks for both Grass and Fairy. Not so with Mega Meganium, which has very little coverage and a 4x weakness to poison.
Mega Scolipede is another strange case where the identity changes significantly, as is the case with Mega Dragonite. Megaskolipid loses a lot of the original's speed stat in favor of high attack and defense, but it is far from a good Pokémon, with average special defense, low HP, and now low speed.
