Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC is releasing tomorrow, and we've finally had official confirmation that three Hoenn starters and Megas will be included in the game, but there's a problem. Pokemon Legends: ZA's DLC will be released approximately two months after the release of the base game and will include a variety of new features, returning Pokémon, and just under 20 exclusive Mega Evolutions. The DLC allows players to explore a strange environment called Hyperspace Lumiose thanks to Hoopa's abilities, which are enhanced by a new baking mini-game where players feed donuts to animals.
Pokemon Legends: ZAFeatures of the Mega Dimension DLC include a new temporary level cap that gives players the option to increase their Pokémon beyond level 100, a series of challenges to complete in Hyperspace Lumiose to unlock more areas and Pokémon, a new Rogue Mega Evolution boss battle, and more. If the leak is true, it would mean a lot to fans that there will be 19 new Mega Evolutions in the DLC. In particular, some of them are dedicated to powerful legendary and mythical Pokémon such as Darkrai, Heatran, Zeraora and Magearna. As for the returning Megas, it's now pretty much confirmed that all of them will be included in the game, including Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Swampert.
New Pokemon Legendaries: ZA Code Gives Players Free Items
Pokemon Legends: ZA players can now request several new items via Mystery Gifts, all of which could come in handy once the Mega Dimension DLC releases.
Say goodbye to Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, and Mega Blaziken in 2025.
Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip are some of the most popular starters in the country. pokemon The fact that games are not included Pokemon Legends: ZA Upon release, it left many players sad or disappointed. Considering that other Hoenn animals like Latias, Latios, and Rayquaza are missing along with their Mega Evolutions, it's likely that the Gen 3 starters will return. This is now official, as players will be able to use Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert, as well as Mega.
However, the monkey's paw was put on hold as this wish was granted, because like greningite, delphoxite, and chessnotite, this is a reward that can only be obtained in online ranked battles. It is awarded as follows:
-
Mega Sceptile/Sceptilite: Seasons 5, 6, and 7
-
Mega Swampert/Swampertite: During seasons 6 and 7.
-
Mega Blaziken/Blazikenite: During Season 7.
For keen fans, there is currently a gap between seasons. Pokemon Legends: ZA's Season 3 rankings and when the Mega Sceptile is first released. This is because Season 4 will award Mega Stones for Baxcalibur starting December 17th. These seasons typically last three weeks, so the first Mega Evolution for Hoenn starters likely won't be available until another month or so, most likely January 7 or 8, 2026.
This is bad news for those hoping to use their beloved Gen 3 starter Pokemon in the Mega Dimension DLC. Pokemon Legends: ZAIt's not necessarily new, but it stings a bit considering the same approach is reserved for Gen 6 starters. People who especially like Blaziken and Mega will be most disappointed. That's because Pokémon may not be released until February 18, 2026, which is more than two months away.
Fans will have to wait, but the current structure for seasons and rewards makes that unlikely. Pokemon Legends: ZA That will change soon. So even if the Gen 3 starter launches tomorrow; Pokemon Legends: ZAOnce the DLC is released, Mega Stones won't be available until quite some time later. Luckily, the ranks required to obtain Mega Stones are now much lower than in Season 1 of Greninjite, so players can expect a rather quick grind for Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, and Mega Blaziken.
