Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is coming out next month, but unfortunately once it's released, RGG Studio will remove the original game from Steam.
As explained by
That means Yakuza 3 will cost $129.13 instead of $19.99, and the bundle is technically classified as a 'package' on Steam, meaning you won't be able to purchase it if you already own the included games. Someone else will have to buy it from you, and you'll have to pay the full price regardless.
Sega has begun delisting.
Considering the controversy surrounding Kiwami 3's casting of Teruyuki Kagawa, who was accused of sexual harassment by two women in 2019, fans are not taking the news well: “Don't buy this damn game.”
Unfortunately, the delisting is the same as for previous Sega titles, as the publisher has removed everything from Sonic CD and Crazy Taxi to the Sega Genesis Classics collection and Jet Set Radio from its digital storefront in the last year alone.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 Preview: RGG Studios Cooks It Up and It Was Worth the Wait.
Waiting this long to introduce the next Kiwami title in the Yakuza series was the right move.
Unfortunately, Yakuza 0 was delisted and replaced with the Director's Cut in the package. RGG claims that the original Yakuza 3 (at least the remastered version) will remain in this bundle, but the team has already set a precedent of replacing games within the collection with newer versions.
If you missed it before it's gone forever and don't want to spend $129 on the bundle, Yakuza 3 Remastered is thankfully still available on GOG.
