World of Warcraft: Hallow's End Guide Complete Guide

Each starting area contains a village with daily quests related to the Hallow's End festivities. Periodically, the Headless Horseman appears and sets the building on fire. You have to grab a bucket of water and throw it into the flames. If you and your fellow players put out the flames quickly enough, you will be able to fight off the Headless Horseman. It won't take more than a few attacks to get rid of him, after which he'll leave his head for you to begin your daily quest.

Speaking of the Headless Horseman, he is the seasonal boss of Hallow's End, just as Coren Direbrew and Ahune are the bosses of Brewfest and Midsummer Fire Festival respectively. Like these bosses, you can also queue up to fight the Headless Horseman.

Headless Horseman has been updated starting in 2023. The combat is now a little more complicated than just DPSing the head as it spawns, but the combat is still pretty easy. However, you can make the fight more difficult by using the Wicker Man statue. The effect of this statue makes combat much more difficult, but the debuff only affects the player who activated it and does not affect the rest of the party.

Defeating the Headless Horseman while the Wicker Man Statue is active increases your chance of obtaining the Headless Horseman mount from a loot-filled pumpkin. Aside from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin reward, the Headless Horseman drops the following rings at a maximum item level of 554:

• Ring of Petrified Amber
• Seal of Spooky Joy
• knight's ring
• Seal of the Wicked Witch

And there's a pumpkin full of loot that can be obtained once per day per character. In addition to the highly coveted mount that drops from a loot-filled pumpkin, you can also get the Headless Horseman's helmet and sword. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain the Sinister Squashling and Hallowed Helm, which are required for the “Sinister Calling” achievement.

All Hallow's End Rewards

Aside from the Headless Horseman or loot-filled pumpkin drops, most of the rewards from this event are purchased from vendors. In Orgrimmar and Stormwind, you can find merchants selling various cosmetic rewards. Some sellers, such as Chub and Dorothy, sell toys, while Woim and Pippi sell pets. Regardless of location, each merchant sells the following items:

Stymie and Darla both sell all the Hallowed Wands you need for “The Masquerade”. Everyone needs 2 Festive Candies.

Farina/Spanky

Mask retailers sell masks that replace the appearance of a helmet when used.

Warm/beep beep

Items are now purchased with Festive Candy instead of gold. Festive Candies can be obtained by completing the daily quest Loot-Filled Pumpkins and occasionally from candy canes throughout Azeroth. So, if you want to get as many rewards as possible, we recommend visiting every candy bin, doing all the daily quests every day during this event, and killing the Headless Horseman at least once a day. You can also earn 10 Festive Candy by completing “Halloween for Jasper!” (Alliance) or “Halloween for spoofs!” (horde).

Don't worry if you don't receive all of your Hallow's End rewards before the event ends. You'll receive all rewards when Halloween festivities begin the following year, but you'll need to stock up on holiday candy from the beginning.
