Why was Vizored so disappointing?

Key Takeaways

  • The Vizored was a powerful and driven warrior who was exiled by Aizen.
  • Ichigo, trained as a Vizored, had powerful potential but left the storyline.
  • After the Arrancar Saga, the Vizored's participation was overwhelming.

The Vizored are exiled Soul Reapers of void power who have lived in the world of the living for 100 years. Although the group is loved by fans, bleachI was disappointed by the post-Arrancar Saga involvement. Shinji Hirako and his group were seen as interesting and interesting warriors, completely separate from the law-abiding members of the Gotei 13. And while their powers are certainly spectacular, their place in the story seemed to be left to the side.

Why do fans feel disappointed with Hirako and his team? Could the Vizored have done more in the Millennium Bloodbath? bleach Or is it as good as it used to be?

The mysterious Vizored started off strong

Eisen's first victim

Shinji Hirako and others are all high-ranking members of the Gotei 13. Shinji, Kensei, Love, and Rojuro are all captains, while Lisa and Hiyori are lieutenants. So, they are all established as being very powerful. Shinji, the captain of the 5th division, has Sosuke Aizen as his lieutenant. During this time, Aizen began experimenting with hollowing, and Shinji and the others captured the worst parts of it. Shinji, Love, Kensei, Rojuro, Lisa, Hiyori, Mashiro and Hachigen were Hollowfied by Aizen and were only barely saved by Kisuke Urahara and Tessai. However, due to Aizen's scheme, they were expelled from Soul Society along with Urahara, Tesai, and Yoruichi.

The Vizored lived in the world of the living for 100 years, waiting for his time to seek revenge on Aizen. Along the way, they learn how to use their newfound powers. They are trained to master their Hollow aspects and use their powers as new assets. Eventually, they met Ichigo Kurosaki, a natural Vizored, and trained him to use his powers like them.

The team started with a close involvement with Ichigo, giving him the tools to fight the Espada and Aizen, and created a dedicated arc, Turn Back the Pendulum. They quickly established themselves as powerful and important figures with their own agendas. The Gotei 13 fought Aizen out of duty and Ichigo fought him out of a sense of justice and to protect everyone, but the Vizored had a very personal reason for killing him. Aizen hurt everyone involved, caused Kaname Tosen and Gin Ichimaru to betray the Gotei 13, kidnapped Orihime Inoue, and put Karakura Town in danger. But for the Vizored, it was another level of betrayal and he ruined their lives.

The Vizored had the best motivation to defeat Aizen. However, their participation left much to be desired. He fought Aizen along with the Gotei, but other than Shinji, he barely contributed to the battle. They came to little conclusion about the conflict with Aizen. Revenge was not the ideal path for them, as Kaname Tosen had a story of revenge that showed how wrong he was and how it corrupted him. However, not showing the Vizored handling Aizen's defeat feels like a missed opportunity.

Thousand-year blood clot, Vizo Red’s lowest point

Now only available to weakened captains

It is revealed in supplementary material that after Shinji, Rojuro, and Kensei regained their positions as captains of the Gotei 13, Central 46 banned the Vizored from using their Hollow powers. This explains why these three would have had a better fighting chance. It simply wasn't allowed. Kensei and Rojuro fought Sternritter S – Mask de Masculine. They both used their Bankai against him, but the Mask's unfair ability was a hard counter to them. While his Bankai wasn't enough to handle many other enemies, Mask was able to heal all of his injuries thanks to Schrifft: The Superstar.

Kensei and Rojuro are killed by Gremmy Thoumeaux and turned into zombies by Giselle Gewelle, further diminishing their involvement. Shinji Hirako also had a brief moment of glory. He used his Shikai, Sakanade, to stop Sternritter E – Bambietta Basterbine in her tracks. However, as soon as Bambietta used Vollstandich, she defeated him with one blow, putting him out of commission. In the anime version, Shinji used his Bankai: Sakashima Yokoshima Happo Fusagari to dispatch a group of Soldat. This new scene was greatly appreciated, but its inclusion of Shinji using his Bankai in a grunt was slightly less impressive.

The Vizored were undoubtedly humiliated in the Millennium Bloodbath after all the build-up and plot relevance they had previously. This team is very popular with fans. But Taito Kubo doesn't seem to like it very much. Vizored has so much more to do and could have done better. But while the rest of the Gotei 13 had some amazing moments throughout the arc, they were simply pushed to the side. This is why fans feel disappointed with Bijored's conclusion. Hopefully, the rest of the anime adaptation will find a place to offer something new and interesting that wasn't in the manga like Shinji's Bankai.
