Three men charged over alleged brawl in Haymarket, Sydney

A group of men have been charged after an alleged brawl broke out in Sydney’s CBD.

Emergency services were called to Civic Hotel, on the corner of Goulburn and Pitt street in Haymarket, shortly before 4am Tuesday following reports of multiple people being injured.

More than 20 officers attended the scene where they found a man, 23, with a wound to his neck and a woman, 20, with facial injuries.

The woman was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and the man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital after being treated by paramedics.

A 26-year-old man was also found at the scene suffering from minor injuries, and was later taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

Following investigations into the incident, police arrested two men at Day Street Police Station on Tuesday.

The 23 and 24-year-old men were taken to Surry Hills Police Station where they were both charged with affray.

The men were granted conditional bail and will appear at Downing Local Court on Thursday March 7.

A third accused offender, 26, was arrested at Surry Hills Police Station and charged with two counts of reckless wounding, with one on relation to domestic violence.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.
