Although one of the game's most important updates has been fixed. Pokemon Legends: ZARemoving the ability to “overclock” generator locations and potentially risking it in future patches, 's Brilliant Hunting Method has always had game improvement at its core. Now, with patch 2.0.1, the game is finally free from an issue that has plagued it since launch: the limit on how many Mega Shards you can collect. This was a problem when the game launched, and it became even more problematic with DLC for several reasons.
- Pokemon Legends: ZADuring the story, Mega Shards are required to purchase Mega Stones from Quasartico Inc., and Mega Stones are gradually unlocked as you progress through the campaign. However, prices vary from 180 to 360 mega shards. This means that you cannot purchase more than 3 of the more expensive shards, as the mega shard limit is 999.
- Pokemon Legends: ZAThe TM NPC in the DLC sells a lot of new TMs for Mega Shards, costing from 360 to 540, making it very difficult to buy multiple TMs due to the limitations of Mega Shards and the fact that you can only get two at a time, regardless of cost.
-
To introduce Genesect Pokemon Legends: ZAYou must purchase all four drives from the same NPC, and each drive costs 540 mega shards. The 999 limit does not allow you to purchase two drives at the same time.
-
This NPC also sells feathers for various abilities. Pokemon Legends: ZAEach costs 60 mega shards. Considering that one feather is mostly useless and you need an even number to improve your Pokemon's stats, two feathers usually require 120, if not a multiple of that number.

With patch 2.0.1 released today, Pokemon Legends: ZA Increased limit of Mega Shards from 999 to 9,999. This means you can now easily stack this currency when playing multiple instances of Hyperspace Wild Areas. In fact, you can easily gather hundreds of mega shards, so if you use the previous limit, Quasartico Inc. Otherwise, this is an incredible quality of life improvement since you had to run back and forth to nearby NPCs. Pokemon Legends: ZATrade Wild Zone 17 for Mega Stones, TMs, Genesect Drives or Feathers.
This is a fantastic change for potential new players as well. Collecting all the Mega Shards you need will feel much less of a chore considering you can accumulate them for much longer before going to the vendor without worrying about hitting the unnecessary 999 limit. Pokemon Legends: ZA It's already fully featured, including the DLC, and even if you've earned all the TMs and caught the Genesect, Feathers will always be a great option for optimizing your animal's EVs over the more expensive vitamins from the Pokémon Center.
Pokémon Legends: Why ZA's New Mega Shard Cap Is Good for Beating the Game
Hyperspace wild areas can produce around 200 mega shards if they are small sized, so medium and large sized areas will always produce more currency, so you can accumulate as much as you want and then convert them all into feathers or other items of your choice. Increasing the limit on Mega Shards was something fans requested soon after the game was released. It may be too late for everyone who has finished the game, but there are still some pros to this. For example, the best training Pokemon Legends: ZA Building a team takes time, so even if you've already done everything else, you'll need plenty of bottle caps, mints, vitamins, or feathers.
