The Sims 4 players boot up sexy mods 400,000 times a day

The Sims 4 is about everyday life and everything that comes with it. Create perfect people, make them work, fall in love and achieve their goals. It's almost like real life in a video game, and it comes with all the steps involved, including getting off your ass and woo-hooing to make a baby.

Obviously, The Sims 4 does its best to keep everything as cloaked and PG as physically possible. When you play with The Sims 4 lying on the floor, you won't be able to see much. You might just hear a rustling sound from under the covers and a limb or two sticking out. A mod called Wicked Whims has been around for over a decade to decorate every Sim's bedroom.

This mod not only adds full nudity to the game, but it also adds menstrual cycle, fertile tracking, birth control, and STDs, along with plenty of explicit positions for your Sims to get into. Not everything is dirty, but I can almost guarantee that the majority of people who download mods are not good.

The Sims 4 Lovestruck's vibrating bed features love hearts surrounding the bed and steam emanating from them.

And it turns out that a lot of The Sims 4's player base isn't doing well. First reported by German outlet Taz (translated by PC Gamer), the creator of Wicked Whims (Turbodriver) gave an accurate estimate of how many people boot up the mod every day, putting it at around 400,000.

“This is how often my server pings,” Turbodriver says. “Because someone started the game and installed a mod.”

Unfortunately, the exact number of users who have downloaded the mod is unknown, and the 400,000 figure doesn't give a very accurate figure as it's just the number of times the game boots up with the mod installed. Still, that's a truly huge number of players, and more than you'd expect to play The Sims 4 every day.

Even if you cut that number in half, there would still be more players than games like Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel Rivals, and Rust. The Sims 4 players are posting live service numbers for racy mods, and I totally respect that.
