The problem is that pre-orders have already started in other parts of the world. That means the salespeople are already working and trying to take advantage of people who want to own what PlayStation is selling today.

Listings for just about everything in the Anniversary Collection have already started appearing on resale sites, including a limited-edition PS5 Pro bundle. Not only is the Pro Bundle the most expensive item in the collection, as it’s a brand-new model that comes with all sorts of other goodies, but there are only 12,300 of them available. Even with all that in mind, the $5,500 listing on eBay for the bundle is pretty ambitious.


With that being said, I stumbled upon a post selling the Pro bundle for $10,000, with a note saying two people had added it to their carts. Aside from the fact that the Pro bundle is currently listed on eBay for under $3,000, there’s no word yet on how much the commemorative Pro will cost in the US. This is based on the bundle price in the UK. It sold out almost immediately, though. It was priced at £959. In the US, it would most likely cost around $1,200..


Scalpers are selling anniversary bundles ranging from $2,600 to $10,000.

Needless to say, even if you’re looking at the low prices offered by scalpers, the cheapest listing on eBay will still cost you more than twice as much for the Anniversary Pro as you would pay through PlayStation Direct. At least try to get it at full price when pre-orders open in North America at 10 a.m. EST. The same goes for the PS5 Digital Bundle. It's already listed on eBay for over $1,000.And the anniversary DualSense It's selling for close to $200..

While it’s likely to sell out with the Pro bundle, the regular commemorative console and DualSense won’t be limited in quantity either. If you fail to pre-order, you may be tempted to reach out to scalpers, but be careful not to give in to that temptation. If you do, the same thing will happen the next time a popular limited edition item goes on sale, inflating the price and starting the cycle all over again.
