HxH 402 began with 3rd Prince Zhang. He was told that if only he, Wobble, and Tubepa remained in the succession war, the latter two would withdraw. In return, Sakata and Hashito will be asked to continue to provide support. Prince Zhang also gave one more of his coins to the same man, whose Nen Beast abilities are still unknown. After that incident, Fugetsu's condition deteriorates for unknown reasons as he is possessed by a lesser evil spirit.

in Hunter × Hunter 402, Kacho showed Melody a photo of Fugetsu's back, which showed strange marks that could have been the result of injections. As Melody said, this marking is most likely a result of Nen abilities. Melody believes that Fugetsu fell into a trap set by someone and that triggered everything that is happening to her now.

Whatever ability was used on Fugetsu, she came to believe that she could use her ability, Magic Worm, as much as she wanted, and it took a toll on her.

It is believed that some kind of drug was used on her, and the most likely suspect here would be the 7th Prince Luzrus, who has ties to the Mafia and is also connected to drugs. Luzurus may not be aware of the trap that has been set, as it is a trap for a Nen beast over which he has no control.

This means he can't stop it if he wants to, and the others have no choice but to plan his death to save Fugetsu.
