Yesterday, after years of waiting, Nintendo finally announced the Nintendo Switch 2.
Although the presentation was lacking in key details, Nintendo was pleased to see what looks like the next Mario Kart game, possibly Mario Kart 9.

Hideki Kamiya isn't a big fan of Nintendo Switch 2 leaks.
Naturally, there were tons of teases but no additional information, so fans were left scrambling to find every juicy bit of information they could in the trailer. So far, they believe the game will feature races with up to 24 racers, and they're even starting to put together a roster.
Another theory floating around shortly after its reveal was that Mario Kart 9 would include Wonder Seeds from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but unfortunately that rumor appears to be untrue.
Mario Kart 9 probably won't include the Wonder Seed.
Imagine that scene. You're racing down one of the new tracks in Mario Kart 9 when a Wonder Seed appears. Grab it and it will change the track and add weird and wonderful elements that can help or hinder you. It was an exciting idea and one that seemed like it could become a reality.
Shortly after the reveal, Twitter user Jolly J thought he spotted a Wonder Seed near Yoshi's restaurant on the marked course. Jolie's theory, with the yellow glow next to the restaurant entrance, seemed perfect and sparked a lot of interest. Unfortunately, it was quickly debunked.
Zooming in further on the trailer, SuperWiiBros08 noticed that the glowing yellow object was not a Wonder Seed, but rather looked like a yellow fast food takeout bag with a smiley face on it.
Unfortunately, Mario Kart Wonder's dreams were dashed, but it opened up a whole new world of possibilities.
One theory suggested that these items would serve as fuel refills for the racer's kart, given that the fuel tanks are now visible, while another suggested that Mario Kart 9 would feature Diddy Kong racing style objectives to complete during the race. I did it.
Whatever it is, we already can't wait for Nintendo Switch 2 and the next Mario Kart game.
