Eddie Brock debuted in 1986. Web of Spider-Man #18 A reporter for the Daily Bugle and Peter Parker's rival. This character is best known for his connection to Venom and is probably the best-known host of the alien symbiote.

In the comics, he has taken on the guise of Anti-Venom, Toxin, King in Black, and even Carnage, evolving from Spider-Man's villain to a deadly guardian anti-hero. Like almost all characters marvel comicsAside from the mainstream 616 universe, there are several multiverse versions of the characters from other worlds.

It's worth mentioning that this list does not include other aliases used by the main Eddie Brock, but instead includes separate characters.

10 Edna Brock (Earth-31913)

Wild West version of Venom

A female version of the character set on Earth-31913, a Wild West world where Spider-Man is a cowboy with a spider-powered horse.

Edna Brock is the owner of a brothel who acts as the guardian and protector of women and brings justice to those who harm them. They take them to the desert and torture them to death… it's cruel. Her masquerading as Madame Venom appears to have no real connection to the Venom symbiote, and the mask is a simple way to instill fear in those who would harm her staff. This character doesn't appear much in the story, so there isn't much to deduct from the ranking.

9 Pork Grind (Earth-8311)

In the strange world of Earth-8311, the Marvel Universe Looney Tunes-A world where characters are animals. Casual fans may know it thanks to the inclusion of Spider-Ham. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

However, as with most versions of the character, there is always a Venom opposition, and this comes in the form of Pork Grind. In Aniverse, residents behave like classic cartoon characters. For pork grinders, I prefer using an oversized mallet, which crushes the spider ham but leaves no lasting effects. Although it's a clear version of Venom, Pork Grind doesn't have an actual name, so he might not be Eddie Brock and his suit doesn't act like the symbiote either. For this reason, Pork Grind cannot rank much higher.

8 Edward Brock (Earth-2149)

It's called the zombie bus.

The Zombierverse is one of Marvel's most famous alternate universes. A zombie epidemic has terrorized the world, turning heroes and villains into fearsome undead monsters. Eddie Brock wasn't one of the lucky ones who escaped without any repercussions.

When Galactus arrived on Earth, Brock was among those fighting The World Devourer, who was taken down by Cosmic-Powered Zombies. Attempting to claim the body as his own, he was ultimately defeated by Spider-Man, and in his dying breath revealed that the Venom symbiote could not survive in a dead body and rejected the dying Brock.

7 Edward Brock (Earth-23772)

If Venom didn't exist

Recent additions to the Venom multiverse require much more coverage, but have the potential to become much larger. Eddie Brock's life was much the same until the day Spider-Man rejected the Venom symbiote.

In this reality, the mental strain of severing his bond with Venom led to his death, and feeling guilty about this, he bonded himself to Brock and became the new Spider-Man. This version of Lethal Protector controls Brock and limits his thoughts and actions. Eventually, he would go on to join Agent Venom's symbiote team on Earth-1051 to fight Carnage, who is bent on destroying all versions of Venom.

6 Edward Brock (Earth-688B)

Made famous by Tom Hardy

This is probably the most famous version of the character, thanks to his portrayal by Tom Hardy in Sony's three Venom movies. venom, Venom: Let the carnage happenand Venom: The Last Dance.

Although the film received mixed reviews, Hardy's portrayal of Eddie Brock was well received and shed new light on the character in the film. The relationship between Brock and the Venom symbiote is handled better than ever, and the two are one and the same. Perhaps fans will get more of this version of the character, who will likely be included in upcoming releases. Avengers: Secret WarThis was Venom's first appearance in the comic book version of the story.

5 Addie Brock (Earth-14512)

Penny Parker's Enemy

Most versions of Spider-Man have some sort of Eddie Brock causing trouble. Earth-14512's Peni Parker is no exception to Addy Brock. This version of the character was Parker's classmate who was the pilot of the experimental VEN#m suit. There are no spider-powered creatures on this Earth, but instead you pilot machines inspired by some classic Spider-Man characters.

During the battle with the monster MORBIUS, the VEN#m suit took control and reduced Brock to nothing but green tentacles. Addy Brock may no longer be alive, but the suit is still unique.

4 Edward Brock (Earth-92131)

First animated depiction of Venom

Spider-Man: The Animated SeriesIt was groundbreaking for many reasons, introducing a whole new generation of fans to the world of wall-crawlers. One of these reasons is because it was Eddie Brock's first appearance outside of the comics.

His story is almost identical to the comic book version, with him bonding with the Venom symbiote after Spider-Man rejects it and developing a hatred for both Spider-Man and Peter Parker. The Venom suit looks awesome. The red and blue highlights are very unique and help tie it in with both the animation style and Spider-Man colors.

3 Edward Brock Jr. (Earth-1610)

The Ultimate Universe is a darker reality of Earth-616, where the stories have more mature themes and generally darker endings. Eddie Brock suffers this fate on Earth-1610.

This version of the character is Peter Parker's childhood friend, and the Venom suit was created by both of his parents as a potential cure for cancer. However, Brock used the suit in a jealous rage after Parker attempted to destroy it. This resulted in him becoming a monstrous version of Venom with a desire to devour Spider-Man. This version is much more violent than the regular character and is portrayed as more of a monster than a supervillain. This interesting take on the character deserves a high ranking.

2 Eddie Brock (Earth-616)

In the mainstream Marvel Universe

The mainstream version of Eddie Brock is definitely one of the best due to the arc the character has experienced over the years in the comics. It's Spider-Man's transformation from a villain to a solid character in his own right.

He first became Venom and then the Lethal Protector of San Francisco after Peter Parker rejected the symbiote and took on the role of supervillain. He then went on to become Anti-Venom, Toxin, King in Black, and many other symbiotes. Brock became the God of Symbiotes, King in Black after banishing the alien's creator, Knull. Although he is a character with a lot of history and depth in the comics, Eddie Brock is synonymous with the main host of the Venom symbiote.

1 Eddie Brochiosaurus (Earth-66)

• First appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse (Vol. 3) #1 (May 2023)

It's hard to vote for anything other than the Venom version of Tyrannosaurus Rex with the #1 alternative being Eddie Brock. The aptly named Eddie Brockiosaurus was a dinosaur that lived on prehistoric Earth and bonded with a symbiont after falling into a tar pit.

There isn't much to say about this character, but he's incredibly cool. Brockiosaurus was one of the Venom variants that joined Agent Venom to fight Carnage. However, he dies in this story thanks to Carnage's newfound powers of Knull. It's a shame fans got a taste of something great and it was taken away from them so quickly.
