Stellar Blade 2 doesn't appear to be a PlayStation exclusive.

After the huge success of Stellar Blade on PlayStation 5 and up on PC, there was no doubt that Stellar Blade 2 would come out. It's unclear exactly when Stellar Blade 2 will be released, but Shift Up expects it to launch before 2027, according to an internal presentation.

There's a good chance the game will be multiplatform whenever it's released. That is, if the current “soldiers” are not already enough, the situation will become even more depraved. As Insider Gaming first discovered through a job posting on the Shift Up website, Stellar Blade 2 is being developed as “an AAA multi-platform action game that expands the universe of the company's global hit Stellar Blade.”

Stellar Blade is the sequel I'm most looking forward to in 2024.

Sequels are often stronger in games, and Stellar Blade could be a huge beneficiary.

More specifically, according to the post, the game “aims to be released on a variety of platforms, including consoles and PC. The game will deliver an evolved action experience, inheriting the original IP's sophisticated action and narrative-driven worldview from its predecessor.”

Previously, it was rumored that the first title could be released on Nintendo Switch 2, as Shift Up reportedly acquired a development kit. If that comes to fruition, there's little doubt that Stellar Blade 2 could be released on platforms other than PlayStation or PC. Either way, we're nowhere near ready for Stellar Blade 2.

For those who have buried their memories of Stellar Blade deep in their hearts, the title immediately became the most successful PlayStation to PC port ever upon its release in early June, surpassing over 190,000 players within hours of release. Naturally, the game was immediately bombarded with a variety of explicit mods, including a nude character mod.

There have been so many dirty mods released that Stellar Blade has surpassed the number of NSFW mods for Nier Automata. Speaking of Nier Automata, the two titles have had quite a few crossover collaborations, with peepers attempting to trick Eve. Keep in mind that in the real world, this is all happening in-game, as the official Stellar Blade account has been spotted sharing extremely NSFW fan art on Twitter.

As we said above, the world isn't ready for a multiplatform Stellar Blade, but there's a good chance we'll get it anyway.
