Unfortunately for the millions of PC gamers who use it, steamValve's digital platform is experiencing some serious problems today. Steam's diverse quality-of-life features and consumer-friendly model have made it the choice of most PC gamers.
Steam almost always works properly, but on rare occasions it may experience hiccups. Steam's latest issue occurred on Christmas Eve. Your mileage may vary if you access Steam on December 24th. As of this writing, it's not 100% working for me, but others seem to be able to access it without issue. Valve itself hasn't released a statement on the issues currently plaguing Steam, but we hope the issues will be resolved soon.
It's unclear what exactly is causing the Steam issue. The issue may be due to the influx of people using Steam during the holidays, or there may be something else going on. In any case, we'll update this article once Steam services are fully restored to everyone.
