Just a few days ahead of the update's release, the Bethesda team gave players a sneak peek at Free Lanes in a new trailer, giving them deeper insight into how many of its features will be implemented. One of the most requested features by players was the ability to travel freely through space, as many discovered. star fieldThe fast travel system of gravity jumping between planets is less attractive than soaring at high speeds between different solar systems. A new video from Free Lanes shows what many players were hoping to see for the first time, as the new cruise mode sees the ship zip past several planets at the speed of light. Players can also activate autopilot mode, allowing them to spend time roaming freely around their ship, plotting a route to a specific point in the galaxy, or their travel can be interrupted by interceptions, combat events that disrupt travel and engage the player in defensive battles against hostile ships.
