Resident Evil Requiem's True Ending Brings Everything Back to Raccoon City

Zeno, the leader of The Connections, and former Umbrella researcher Dr. Victor Gideon are convinced that Grace is the key to unlocking Elpis, a mysterious project Oswell E. Spencer was working on. Zeno and Gideon believe that Elpis is a virus that enables mind control, but Elpis is trapped in ARK, a high-tech vault deep within the ruins of Raccoon City. While Leon was busy dealing with giant spiders, mutant plants, and Mr. X, Xeno and Gideon kidnapped Grace to bring her to the ARK. Elpis can only be released through an unknown password, and the two villains think Grace knows what it is.

Grace discovers his true nature and Leon begins to fall ill.
At the beginning of the story, Resident Evil Requiem It appears that Grace Ashcroft is a product of the Umbrella experiments and not Alyssa Ashcroft's biological daughter. This turned out to be only half true. While briefly away from Zeno, Grace is able to watch an old video her mother left behind before she was murdered. The video confirms that Alyssa is not Grace's actual mother, but it also disproves Zeno and Gideon's theory that Grace is the key to a new bioweapon. Grace is an orphan taken in by Spencer, and Alyssa eventually becomes her guardian after a sit-down interview with Spencer. In Alyssa's interview, Spencer regrets everything he has done with his studies and says Grace is his “hope.” Meanwhile, Leon is really struggling to survive. His Raccoon City Syndrome has reached its final stages and it looks like everyone's favorite Roundhouse kicker is doomed.
in Resident Evil RequiemIt is revealed that The Connections and the U.S. government used Spencer as a scapegoat. The game shows Spencer a glimmer of redemption, but it doesn't erase the atrocities he committed.
Grace is the key to Elpis, but not in the way Zeno and Gideon expected.
Grace meets Leon, who barely survives, and the two return to the Elpis Vault to confront Zeno. Grace has a plan and Leon trusts her completely. “Hope” is also what Alyssa called Grace before she was murdered at the Wrenwood Hotel. This leads Grace to realize that the password to unlock Elpis is “Hope”. The password gives the player the choice to destroy or disarm Elpis. The true ending begins when the player decides to release Elpis. Upon learning of Spencer's remorse, Grace concludes that Elpis is not actually a bioweapon at all. An antidote that renders all biological weapons useless. But Zeno doesn't know he's being tricked, and he enthusiastically injects the vial into his body. His powers quickly deteriorate as Gideon reminds him that the two simply theorized about what Elpis was instead of knowing for sure. Gideon, hungry for power, suddenly mutates and decapitates Xeno with his arm.
Leon and Victor Gideon have a final showdown.
Leon was almost at death's door at this point, but Grace quickly injected him with Elpis, saving his life. This leads to a second-stage boss fight, with Gideon mutating into a giant monster that became a staple of the endgame. resident evil Boss battle. Leon defeats Gideon and finds Grace nearby. With no way out due to the destruction around them, Grace and Leon are forced to accept that this is the end of their path. Leon vows to stay by Grace's side until they both die.

Grace returns to the FBI and is able to adopt Emily, a young girl from Rhodes Chronic Care Facility who is now cured. Now, putting her in Alyssa's shoes is a full-on emotional moment.
bad ending: ARK begins to self-destruct after entering the wrong password, but Grace manages to escape. However, Leon was left to fight Zeno. The latter easily overpowers the sick Leon and kills him by shooting him in the head. The ARK platform collapses, and the two fall into the abyss.
But that happiness may not last long
A short ending cutscene shows a mysterious group of armed soldiers exploring the ARK wreckage. Their identity is unknown, but they are said to be trying to gain a “purpose” before the “wolves” show up first. This likely means that ARK holds more secrets than Elpis. “Wolves” probably refers to Chris Redfield’s Hound Wolf Squad. I'm not sure at this point, but I think this is definitely the next scene. resident evil The game could potentially set up a Chris Redfield-led story featuring Leon as a partner.
