The Deluxe Edition listing for Resident Evil Requiem may have accidentally revealed that Rose is playable in the game's expansion called “The Sanctuary.”
Even before Resident Evil Requiem was officially announced, fans were wondering if they would see Leon Kennedy, mentioned in RE9's first leak, as a playable character. This question has remained the biggest question surrounding the game since it was announced, with Grace Ashcroft being the only character confirmed so far.
It's very likely that Leon will be in the game based on all the rumors about him, but Capcom has been very quiet about what to expect, and has even fought back against the claims. Even though we're still waiting for Leon's reveal, if the Deluxe Edition listing is to be believed, Requiem may be hiding even more surprising playable features.
Rosemary Winters Now Playable in Resident Evil Requiem's DLC
Don't even ask me what that means for the timeline.
As pointed out by Redditor Hot-Challenge-2755 on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, GameStop's listing for the Resident Evil Requiem PC Deluxe Edition was recently updated, revealing more details about the game's DLC. These details claim that the game's major expansion will be called “The Sanctuary” and will feature Rosemary Winters as a playable character.
That list has since been updated to remove references to the Rose, The Sanctuary, and Mercenaries updates, but not before everyone has seen and shared them. If true, it looks like The Sanctuary will move forward over time. That's because Rose is canonically too young for the year Resident Evil Requiem's main campaign is set.
“The Sanctuary” Expansion Pass: Includes two new story scenarios and a major Mercenary Mode update. “Morphic Visor” Cosmetic Filter: A unique cosmetic look for Rose’s visor.
Although I don't think so ~ degree It's incredible that we'll be able to see what's going on with Rose through Requiem's expansion pack, as the game seems to wrap up a lot of the story and leave the future of the series open, but many fans are incredibly unsure. In the Reddit thread where the leak was shared, many people argue that GameStop likely used AI summaries of the information because it looks unreliable.
At the time of writing, this hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's worth keeping in mind before putting too much faith in the list. To all you Leon-heads who think Rose will replace them, don't worry. Because from the description it sounds like Rose has been relegated to Mercenaries mode and The Sanctuary expansion.
