Rayman fans very It's been a rough nearly 13 years since Rayman Legends first launched, but at least things have started to get better recently. Ubisoft has confirmed that a new game is in development, and it's also rumored that there are two more projects in the works for Vegetable Thingamajig.

It's been rumored for a while that the first project we'll be getting is a remake of the original Rayman, which appears to be happening “very, very soon.” These rumors gained further ground when the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition recently received a firmer age rating from Rayman's creator.

A Rayman remake has basically been confirmed by the series creators.

Although it sounds like a re-release

Rayman 2 deserves to break my remake rule.

Despite my general aversion to remakes, I'd like to make an exception for Rayman 2.

Ansel didn't do that. only But since he basically confirmed all the rumors about a remake of the first game, he shares his thoughts on Rayman's history. While talking about Rayman, who started it all, Ancel says there are “some kind of remake plans” but doesn't know exactly when that will come.

Some kind of remake is planned. I don't remember when specifically, but it will be in HD and I think Ubisoft will add a few checkpoints and such to make it less frustrating. – Michel Ansel

Ancel not only confirmed that the first Rayman is being remade, but also shared the first details about it. The re-release will be in full HD and will add more checkpoints to make things a little easier. It's unclear if there's more to the remake than that, but it's definitely the 30th Anniversary Edition that was recently leaked.

If the details are true, this new version of Rayman is called a remake. I think I will Be a little nervous. This seems a lot more like what Digital Eclipse does when it comes to re-releasing classic games with quality-of-life features and updated visuals. We'll have to wait to find out more details, but it's clearer than ever that something related to the first game is coming soon.
