overwatch 2 Season 19 is just around the corner. It contains quite a bit of interesting content. The Halloween-themed Battle Pass provides fantastic costumes and a Mythic skin for Lifeweaver, while purchasable items add Torbjorn, Hazard, and Sojourn to the arena. The main attraction seems to be Haunted Masquerade LTM, the latest Halloween-themed mode for Blizzard's hero shooter. Heroes wear masks based on other characters, granting them special buffs including the following combo abilities: marvel rivals‘Team up. But it's the playable trials for Season 20's new heroes that have garnered the most attention. Especially after the big leak that she was going to be a nightmare. overwatch 2This is Doomfist's main force.
Currently, players only know a few specific details about the Season 20 heroes. Her legs are shown at the end of the Season 19 trailer, hinting at the gladiator theme fans have been anticipating since spotting the Hero 45 teaser in Colosseo (cat-like toe beans can also be seen, hinting at the character's lion theme). It's unclear what role she'll have, but the sword she wields at the end of Ramattra's animated cartoon suggests she'll either be a tank hero or a damage hero. However, those who want to investigate leaked information overwatch 2's future will reveal much more about the new hero, and the term “villain” seems to fit her much better.
Overwatch 2 Hero 45 could be the death of Doomfist.
Blizzard is hinting at paying more attention to this. overwatch 2 It's lore they're clearly working on achieving based on the game's upcoming lore codex. Big changes have been teased in Season 20 as well, and while it could be anything, the death of an established hero will definitely get fans talking. Apparently, this could happen soon, as the leaker who previously predicted the Ramattra and Zenyatta motion comics suggested that the new hero would eliminate Doomfist and become the leader of Talon. The leaker's account has since been deleted, but what they shared was recorded by social media user @enchandted. Apparently, these new heroes will be named Vendetta, which fits their rumored codename. Basically, the story of Vendetta goes like this.
-
Vendetta, the adopted daughter of Antonio (a Talon superior killed by the Reaper during a Blackwatch Archives mission called Retribution), wanted to take his place. However, another man named Vialli ends up doing so and Vendetta plots revenge.
-
After escaping from prison, Doomfist kills Vialli, likely gaining more control over Talon's resources. This left Vendetta angry at Doomfist for stealing his kills and taking a position he felt he was owed due to their familial ties.
-
During a meeting between Doomfist and other Talon members such as Sigma, Moira, and Maximilien, Vendetta breaks in and attacks Talon's leader.
-
Not only does Vendetta win the fight, he rips off Doomfist's arm and throws him out a window, seemingly killing him.
-
Vendetta then takes control of Talon, establishing himself as the terrorist organization's menacing new leader.
It would be one thing for Doomfist to lose his signature weapon in such a violent way, but for the villain to be left for dead by the series' newest character seems truly shocking. overwatch 2 has never killed off any of the playable heroes, and it's unclear how specific this cinematic is about Doomfist's fate. The leaked cutscene is meant to be an introduction to hype the addition of Vendetta, so it's unlikely Doomfist will be the main focus. Perhaps his ‘death’ may remain ambiguous. This is because the cartoon may reveal that he was rescued by someone or that he somehow escaped by falling. Still, the major death deserves all the hype for Season 20, even if it's unclear how it will affect gameplay.
had overwatch 2's PvE missions continued, and many theorized that Reinhardt may have died due to the focus on the old warrior in the invasion cinematic. Since Brigitte has already been trained to be his successor, he would arguably be the “safest” option to kill.
Vendetta in Overwatch 2 can replace Doomfist not only in lore, but also in-game.
If Doomfist does indeed die in Season 20, Blizzard will have to decide whether to remove him from the roster of selectable heroes in the game. league of legends After disabling Gangplank for a week after his fake death, they brought the character back with a new costume, which may be the exact same approach Blizzard is taking. Perhaps Doomfist may be given a new gauntlet design, or a new Doomfist successor may take Akande's place, making him the fourth in line to take on the name. He can now be played like Doomfist, but with completely new dialogue. Players will still have access to the “old” Doomfist through the skin collection, but the new Doomfist will receive all future skins and voice lines. And even in the highly unlikely scenario where Doomfist is completely removed, Vendetta could fill the void as he could be a must-play melee character.
One of the reasons Doomfist was so interesting to gamers in the original OverwatchAnd the reason his main team loved his DPS Doom days so much was his combo potential. Thanks to her sword, Vendetta has much more room to be a satisfying melee character that rewards players who master the art of combining different swing patterns and abilities. Perhaps she could even have some sort of parry mechanic that increases damage when used effectively. Her kit is a mystery at the moment, but the fact that she's a melee hero (damage or tank role) means she'll immediately invade Doomfist's territory. while OverwatchIn actual non-canon gameplay, Doomfist may ultimately be seen as unchanged by his death, and Vendetta could quickly prove more popular than him by dethroning Doomfist in-game, as he will make clear in the story. All leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but Doomfist fans could be in for a rude awakening in Season 20.
