The Straw Hat Pirates have grown tremendously over the past few years. The crew first received attention after the Enies lobby incident, but it was only after the timeskip that they were taken seriously.
After training extremely hard during the timeskip, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates took down guys like Doflamingo and competed with guys like Yonko. After the events of the Wano Country Arc, they reached a whole new peak by destroying Big Mom and Kaido's alliance, which made Luffy one of the Four Emperors of the Sea.

Now, Luffy is a powerful Yonko, and the Straw Hats are considered a force so powerful that even the Marines cannot directly oppose them without orders from their superiors. The Straw Hats reign as one of the four most powerful pirate crews on the sea, which means Luffy and his crew are incredibly close to achieving their goal.
Additionally, One Piece is part of the final series, and Oda himself has teased that the next few issues will take Luffy and his crew to where the Pirate King is. This essentially means One Piece will end soon, which also has major implications for the Straw Hat Pirates.

When the great war that will soon come to an end will come to an end, Fans would have seen every member of the Straw Hat Pirates achieve their dreams. This means that another sad reality will soon befall all readers of One Piece. The Straw Hat Pirates eventually go their separate ways and disband.
When the Pirate King and his gang discover the Laugh Tale and are considered the greatest men to sail the seas, they eventually break up and go their separate ways. Roger then took what life was left to him and began a new era of pirates that would change the world forever. After Luffy becomes the Pirate King, it is unknown what kind of world he wants to create. Regardless, one thing we can say for sure is that Luffy and his crew will never sail together again.
The reason is very simple. Each member of the Straw Hat Pirates has a past life they would like to revisit.. Zoro clearly wanted to return to the East Blue Dojo, and Nami also promised to return to Cocoyashi Village. Usopp is waiting for Kaya in Syrup Village, and Sanji eventually wants to return to Barati. Likewise, Chopper has people who might be interested in the Drum Kingdom, and Robin will likely continue to explore more of the world. Franky may once again return to Water 7 and reunite with Iceberg, while Brook will certainly remain with Laboon. Jinbe will have a new future where he will build a new Fishman Island on the surface under the sun. And of course Loki will probably return to the land of Elbaf to support his brother.
