It's unclear how many players the mode will support, but the trailer shows up to five players on a single server, which would be a huge technical feat.

Implementing multiplayer in a game designed solely for single player is no small feat. Adding a network framework is very difficult and making it reasonably stable is an entirely different matter. However, there have been many attempts in other games as well. Skyrim's Skyrim Together is arguably the most notable multiplayer mode. After years of development, Skyrim Together is a major success story for this type of mod and proof that not all mods are doomed to failure. Considering the team's history with WukongMP, there's a lot of reason to be hopeful about Oblivion Multiplayer.
Since its release almost a year ago, Bethesda has confirmed: Oblivion Remastered Modding is not officially supported. In retrospect, this is a funny statement, considering that players immediately got to work creating a ton of mods for the game.
