When Megumi was first introduced in the story, he wasn't very powerful. Currently, he was a level 2 wizard, so there was nothing special about him. However, it is safe to say that Megumi has proven that her strength far exceeds that of a second-level wizard. In fact, it didn't take long for Megumi to fight off and defeat a special grade finger weapon, and he certainly did it with quite a bit of style. Megumi was destined for greatness, and much of that was down to the fact that he was born into the Zenin Clan. Among genin, he was very special in that he inherited the cursed skills of the 10 shadows. Megumi learned to utilize the Ten Shadow Techniques to some extent early in the series, but this control only grew over time.

Megumi revealed his true strengths as the story progressed, and it's no exaggeration to say that fans were completely shocked by the potential he possessed. In fact, it wouldn't be surprising if Megumi was destined to reach the highest level of strength in JJK. Gojo, the most powerful wizard of modern times, has made it clear that Megumi has equal potential to him, which makes a lot of sense considering how strong Gojo really is. According to Gojo, in the past, a wizard from the Genin family who used the 10 shadow techniques went toe-to-toe with the leader of the Gojo family, who also used the 10 skills like Gojo. Eyes and the Limitless, and the battle resulted in the deaths of both men. Essentially, they were equally matched, showing that Megumi was able to reach a similar level to Gojo.

However, Megumi's amazing acting came to a halt when Sukuna transferred from Itadori Yuji to Megumi, essentially taking over Megumi's body properly.

Once Sukuna moved to Megumi, the latter's downturn began. Sukuna took a bath to essentially suppress Megumi's spirit, and he hasn't been able to do much since. In fact, it was a shocking decision on the part of the author to cut Megumi out of a significant portion of the story and stagnate her growth.

As long as Sukuna was in Megumi's body, his entire character arc was sidelined. His connection to Tsumiki, Yuji, and everyone else, as well as all the dreams and hopes he had, were pushed to the side and simply used as a tool for Sukuna. This would have been a fantastic plot point if more had come out of Megumi when she was released from Sukuna's clutches in the future. But the way Jujutsu Kaisen Kaisen ends, Megumi was essentially a tool for half the story, and it certainly ruined his character quite a bit. Fans had high hopes for Megumi, but after Sukuna took over, all of that was simply destroyed in the story.

You've changed since I last saw you Megumi! – Gozo

Sukuna used Megumi's body with ease and masterfully controlled not only her own shrine, but also Megumi's Ten Shadows. Fans got to see Sukuna use incredible powers from his body, and he used these powers to kill numerous wizards. In fact, Sukuna even faced off against Satoru Gojo, the strongest wizard of modern times, and holding his own in this battle is a commendable feat. In the end, it was thanks to Megumi's Mahora that Sukuna was able to kill Gojo and proceed with his plan. He then used Megumi's body as a vessel to resume the suspended incarnation process and assumed his true form with Megumi as its core.

Again, this was a hint from the writers that Megumi would never have any major role in the story again, and that's exactly what happened. In the end, Yuji and all the other wizards had to team up to rescue Megumi and deal with Ryomen Sukuna. After Yuji dealt with Sukuna, Megumi finally returned. In the end, Yuji's expansion of his domain was a great success, and after the King of Curses was defeated, Yuji was torn from Megumi's body.

Sukuna disintegrates into nothingness, and Megumi is finally saved. After this point the series lasted only three or four more chapters before finally coming to a close. Clearly Megumi never got a chance to grow at all in the series and any potential he had was wasted. But the fact is that the author chose to end the story and proceeded with it anyway, even though he knew it would ruin Megumi's character. That's not to say that Megumi couldn't grow from her experiences with Sukuna. He's certainly very strong now, but the issue of stagnant character arcs still remains.

How Megumi was able to benefit from being Sukuna's vessel

It's safe to say that Megumi's character arc is broken. J.J.K. At the end. But the time I spent with Sukuna was not in vain. The time he spent becoming one with Sukuna must have taught him a lot. For example, when Sukuna used the shrine on Yuji's body, it was guaranteed that he too could access the shrine because Sukuna's techniques were deeply embedded in his body.

Now there is definitely a chance that Megumi will also approach the shrine, but it remains to be seen whether that will happen. Still, Megumi doesn't need a gentleman to grow from this experience. In fact, Sukuna was using the Ten Spiritual Jutsu on Megumi's body like a complete expert. Now Megumi knows how to use the 10 Shadow techniques better. Megumi can now use things like fusion and create beasts like Agito. Megumi could potentially control Mahoraga much better than before and could even learn how to adapt to different situations like Sukuna did.

Whatever Sukuna used on Megumi's body should come as naturally to him through muscle memory as it did to Yuji. Unfortunately, fans will never get to see all of it. J.J.K. It's officially concluded and there's currently no room for a sequel.
