Leon's One-Liners Vs. All major bosses in Elden Ring

There is a reason to love each other resident evil. From dazzling paced scares to highly detailed environments, the franchise has rightfully earned a place in the hearts of horror gamers. It also achieved success there thanks to its humor. We need humor. Break the tension with a moment or delivery that encourages players to let out a breath they've been holding. Leon S. Kennedy's infamous one-liner is a perfect example of its tension-relieving magic. Few protagonists are as committed to saying the absolutely wrong thing at the perfect moment as our beloved Leon. Whether he's facing a cult leader, a monster, or a world-destroying threat, he'll always find time to drop some pretty damning one-liners that range from charming to downright unhinged.

I often think that other games deserve the dad joke/one-liner treatment too. Not because I want to dilute the very purposeful tone carefully curated in the writers' room, but… well, why not? So the same energy as Leon resident evil ~ in Elden Ring. Elden Ring is a game defined by tragedy, destruction, and some of the most threatening and unforgiving bosses in modern gaming. The Lands Between are not made for jokes, and their demigods do not joke. But Leon didn't care.

Resident Evil Requiem Review

Resident Evil Requiem Review: A Horror Game Masterpiece

Expertly blending pure horror with over-the-top action makes Resident Evil Requiem the ultimate Resident Evil experience.

Bad Omen Margit

as the first boss Elden RingMargit sets the tone for what follows. Delayed attacks and constant pressure demonstrate the brutality of the game. Margit wasted no time and tried to make her point by testing Leon and dropping the spectral weapon on the ground. Meanwhile, Leon is already running around reading the windup like it's just another boss telling him to memorize it.

Big story about a man camping on a bridge.

Malenia, Michaela's Sword

Malenia is one of the most infamous bosses in modern gaming, known for her speed, life-stealing, and relentless pressure. Leon immediately checked Malenia's posture and knew it was going to hurt. Nonetheless, he continues. He needs to make some commitment.

Godric the Grafted

Godrick is a power-hungry ruler who desperately sews his own limbs together to become something greater. All his dealings are grotesque excesses, desperate for power. Leon timed this immediately, like any backwoods monster with too many moving parts.

Lenala, Queen of the Full Moon

This boss is a haunting two-stage fight that transitions from creepy classroom chaos to full-on space magic. The first stage of the Rennala battle is pure chaos, with students moving around, furniture flying, and glowing weak points that Leon has already decided to attack. By the time Rennala begins casting moon magic, he is less interested in knowledge and more interested in not being flattened.

Miss, can you make the kids stop throwing books at me?

Starscourge Ladan

This legendary general holds back the stars on a horse that should never have ridden him. Leon had to take one look at Radahn and pause.

Why not give the horse a break?

Morgoth, King of Omens

Margit returns angrier, stronger, and much less interested in letting Leon get away with anything. Leon, on the other hand, will likely view this as a rematch he was not in for.

Haven't we already solved this problem?

resident evil - all games - leon - kennedy - appears - in

Resident Evil: Leon Kennedy appears in every game.

Leon S. Kennedy isn't just known for his roundhouse kicks. He is a major character in Resident Evil and appears in many games in the franchise.

Rickard, Lord of Blasphemy

Lord of Blasphemy Elden Ring It's a giant snake god who invites you to “join the family” in a tone that says you should never do it. Leon listened just long enough to understand the offer. He is at least very polite about it.

I would pass on joining the family.

fire giant

He's a towering, tragic Guardian whose size alone makes the fight feel overwhelming. Leon spends most of this fight craning his neck and trying not to get crushed by the size of a building. Weaknesses will eventually become apparent. Only then will he give his opinion.

Talk about having two left feet.

Black Sword Maliketh

One of the fastest and most punishing bosses. Elden RingThis boss can end the fight in seconds. The beat will almost certainly have to stop here. Maliketh is fast and aggressive and denies Leon the breathing space he is accustomed to. This will result in less talking and more survival, so Leon's one-liners will be reserved for players to grumble and roll their eyes at him later.

This was actually the problem…

Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knower

Imagine a man who claims to understand everything but decides to challenge Leon anyway. Leon has heard this sound before. Even from his early days. resident evil 2 and resident evil 4. It usually doesn't end well for the person who uses it.

I should have known how this ended, buddy.

Godfrey, the First Elden Lord / Hoara Lux

Godfrey is an imposing warrior who eventually decides that the title is overrated and begins to reach out. He begins to take control. Suddenly it's just fists, hooks and outright violence. Leon will adjust accordingly.

Radagon of the Golden Knights

Radagon doesn't waste words. The same goes for Leon. Especially when a big, shiny hammer the size of a truck comes down on him.

Good hammer. Did your mom pick it for you?

Elden Beast

This cosmic entity feels more like a fever dream than a boss. At this point, Leon had seen enough. The scale, the setting, the fact that he's fighting what appears to be a living constellation… he needs a drink.

…This is above my pay grade.
