It goes without saying that the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke was one of the most interesting aspects of the entire Naruto series. Over the years, fans have seen Naruto and Sasuke engage in many exciting battles, and while some battles were won by Sasuke, others were won by Naruto. By the end of the main story, it was widely accepted that Naruto Uzumaki was the stronger of the two. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, simply because these two men have always been ahead of the other at different times in the story, but in the grand scheme of things they remain pretty much the same.

However, this does not mean that Sasuke is always stronger than Naruto. Fans know full well that Kishimoto will eventually give Naruto the power-up he deserves, and at the end of the story, Naruto and Sasuke will eventually become equals once again.

For that to happen, Naruto Uzumaki needs to get back to the story first. A return doesn't seem imminent at this point, but it will happen eventually.
