The Curio Domain Challenge is located on the second level, southwest of Warp Spire, near the Gliding Training Stonetree. The goal of this challenge is Place the two boxes to activate the switch. Reveal the locked Whimstar.

To place both boxes on the switch, the player must first use one box as a lever to reach the second box. Here are the complete steps to complete this challenge:

Push the first box onto the left platform. This lowers the platform and raises the far level.
Jump to the ledge on the right to reach higher ground.

Press down on the second box.

Place the first box next to the second box.
